Do we have enough evidence for I-130 ??

Hey

My husband and I are about to put in our I-130 petition and just wanted to ask peoples opinion on our evidence of our relationship. I think our evidence is good but am a worrier and want to make sure before we put the forms in.

our evidence is - Our marriage certificate

1 x Proof of joint ownership for our car we bought in Australia earlier this year.

2 x proof of joint finances with statements of our joint bank account that we opened in 2009 (when my husband moved to Australia)

and 3 x proof of living together- 3 leases from 3 different houses that we lived in together over the past 4 years.

Is this considered enough evidence? I think it would be but I dont know what i consider enough is what they consider enough???

any advice or previous experience would be good

Perhaps add some pictures of the two of you, and also with friends and family? is your husband living with you now in Australia?

yeah I was thinking of some pics as well - cant hurt to put them in anyway.

My husband has gone back to America for a job and has been there for 4mths but he is going to come early next year to live here until the visa is approved.

Well for the past 4 yrs we have lived together in Australia so haven't got call logs/chat logs ect as we were together the whole time but will just add some pics

Better if you include pictures.. And maybe send some chat/call logs also during the time he's away..

we meet in person in America, I was living in america on a 1yr visa as a nanny. I will just add some pics I dont think our convos on facebook chat are really appropriate for them to be reading lol

chats and call logs are important edit out the stuff that you don't want in there and they do consider facebook chats to.

Everything everyone else has mentioned here is a part of it and you should include at least 20 pics. The USCIS will want

documentation in your petition showing how you first met. They also want affidavits from friends and family showing that

you have a real relationship.

All these kinds of evidence are considered secondary. Financial commingling evidence is what USCIS really wants to see (if possible)

How would someone come up with documentation showing how they first met? It certainly never crossed my mind to have people sign an affidavit on the night of 4th of July 2009 when I first met my husband

Affidavits carry little to zero weight.

OP- do include photos! Wedding photos, family photos etc.

You lived together for quite some time so chat logs are not necessary. You could include some if you have it.

You said he went back to the U.S. recently- how do you communicate? chats/calls? (-> evidence)

i think the stuff you have is great for primary evidence,

however (and I apologize for not knowing much about Australia utilities)

do you have utility receipts/bills/statements in both names, after marriage?

if so, include them.

Gas, electric, water, telephone, handphone, internet/cable/tv .

In Australia or at least the companies we used all utilities are in one name only usually in mine cos my hubby doesnt like to bother with the companies and having to remember paying the bill on time lol he just provided the money for them
