My fiance had his interview today and was told they would call him to get his passport back. They never said denied or approved. They took his fingerprints twice, once before the interview and once again during. At the end, they asked for his cell number. If they denied it wouldn't they just send a letter or something?

Why would the ask for his cell number?

And another question, I have tried to check our status on the CEAC website and it has never changed from "No Status". So, what does that mean?

What is the quickest way to find out what is going on?

If he got no 221g from the CO, they kept his passport it sounds like AP they will likely do some background checks then decide. There is no way of telling if he will be approved or not and you can do a status request after 60 days. Hopefully they will call before then otherwise you can call and email the embassy but that doesn't always provide results.

Good luck,

I concur with Miben. They're most likely putting you guys into AP and it could go either way. Sometimes it is approved and sometimes it's denied depending on what their extra research determines. I'd give them a call during their hours and send them an email as well. Sometimes AP can last for quite awhile.

The interview was just today. Give it 1-2 days for the status to change once they have processed the consulate's notes/decision on your case. I think you are approved and that they only asked for his number because in Morocco, they will call you if the passport/visa is ready for pick up. Did they give him any paper after the interview?

No they did not give him any paper after the interview. They did give his passport back.

That's bad. No intent to issue VISA quickly, as the passport is needed for passport issuance, it's glued inside the passport.

So, if you want 'a quick answer' for status, use a telephone, call the DoS Hotline when they are open (# in my profile, click the girls and scroll all the way to the bottom).

I'm leaning towards AP, for status, at the moment, since they returned his passport to him on interview day.
