Salaam and peace, ya'll. We are trying to get their social security numbers and get married before the end of the year for tax purposes. As they arrived Dec. 3rd we have waited til now to attempt to apply for a social.

I had read somewhere else on here you need to apply for the social before you get married while on the K-1; some others said they tried to apply for the social after and were told they had to adjust status first.

So we are running out of time. :) Mid-December; we wouldn't have waited except we want to be sure the SAVE system recognizes his info.

We did go online and printout the I-94 and had no problems. We have passports, visa stamps, birth certificates, completed applications for ss cards, and the printed out ss instructions bec the lady on the phone was incompetent.

My question is, is there anyway to see if he is in the SAVE system yet? Thanks!
