AOS form I864 or I864a for spnsor?

Please help me im confused. I am the petitioner and since im currently unemployed my father will sponsor my daughter. Me and my father lives in the same house. Is he going to use I 864 or I 864a?

We're in a similar situation and my fiance's mom is going to be a joint sponsor for me. My fiance is unemployed. Pretty much everyone has told me to use the I-864, as it's neater, given that my fiance has no income and she is going to have the main income/assets. The I-864A, I believe, is more about merging assets to combine household income, but if you're unemployed, the I-864 might be neater.

If your father files the I-864a, then he must include you in his household since he would be combining income with you. This is a bad idea since you are unemployed.

The better way is for him to file the I-864 as a Joint Sponsor. As long as you are not a tax dependent, then you would not count in household for the I-864.
