I just emailed the visa unit in Moscow, and they sent me this back:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Please be informed that the petition has been expired and destroyed.

Immigrant Visa Unit
U.S. Embasy Moscow

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But USCIS still shows it as open (we are talking 2010 here)

Does this resolve the issue or should I write USCIS asking for a withdrawl and send thiem a copy of the Moscow email as support?

I am post NOA2 with my current petition and looking at an interview in 2-3 months

I advise you to write the uscis and ask for the old petition to be withdrawn because if you dont

it may cause problems for you during the interview process because it's still showing up in there

system.
