hi everyone i'm new here sorry if i posted this wrong.

so me and my fiance want to soon apply for a k1 visa the issue we have is that we are worried because we both have the same after name, we are not related!

someone with the same experience? what should we do ?

You don't have to worry. They can cross reference your last names to your parents names and will see you are not related.

On your g325a forms under parents name you'll put your parents names and your fiance will put his/hers. Also woth i-129 petitioner sends his/hers birth certificate that includes parents names and beneficiary's birth certificate is presented at the interview stage. So as iammrsregi said, they'll cross reference that.

i don't think it would be an issue... there are lots of other couples who have the same family names and i think USCIS is not that stupid to think you are related just because of that... iammrsregi is right... the adjudicator would probably check your parents names and learn that you are not actually related..

Shouldn't be an issue. Just fill out the forms as indicated, don't overthink it.

BTW, it is commonly called a surname or family name in the western hemisphere.
