i am in the process of gathering together everything for the I-129F, but am thinking ahead for what my u.k. fiance needs for his application and interview. i have read about sending away and getting police records or something of that sort, that would take about 40 days to arrive. what sort of required paperwork or forms should he start gathering now, to save us time in the future? if there is a list somewhere on the site, just re-direct me there

also, should i include a letter signed by us both in the I-129F stating our engagement and intent to marry? can it be a faxed copy from england, or should it be an original?

The 'guides' section is always a good place to start, as is the 'embassy info' section, where you can find particular instructions for London.

All the info you need is on this site if you'll just have a breeze around.

K-1 Guide is a good place to start. If you scroll down it gives you a list of things for the interview stage. This is possibly not complete but mostly.

To answer one of your questions, yes you both need a letter of intent to marry, and yes, they both have to be original signatures. He is going to have to mail you a few things with original signatures (G325A, letter of intent, and I can't remember what (or if) anything else) so be sure to read the guides!
