Lawl.

10mpg... at least I only drive 10 mins each way for work. Then again the jeep gets about 14. I was hoping for something closer to 35 or 40.

My old Volvo and my truck probably get 10-18 depending on the circumstances.

We are looking at buying a new Ford Focus or Chevy Cruze. They're both in that 35-40 range (which I think is probably higher than what they actually get). I just wish we'd get our money. *grumbles off* There are oh so many reasons why I wish I hadn't got my truck - mpg, really difficult to park (parking spaces here are too tiny for doors to open and parking garages many times do not go that high), not enough interior space, the suicide doors, etc. I like the 4wd and the cargo capacity, but I rarely use it.

Well, at first my husband thought it was a terrible idea having guns in the house and now he wants this one and that one, etc. Where we live now (except for the house that is soon to be sold) and where we are moving, our property is not big enough to safely discharge a gun. So, then you've got to find somewhere to use it.

Also, now he keeps bothering me about a handgun - which is a no. I've had one and I think they are dangerous to have in a house with children. My daughter doesn't seem to have the same fear of us as I had of my dad's wrath if I ever touched his guns. Hmmph.

Oh yes, I never touched any of my dads guns, they were all safely locked away as well. Fear of god so to speak (and a belt that hurt... a lot...) When my daughter is here the gun is in it's case. She does fear me though, and would never touch it.

We obviously own the jeep and drive out to the middle of nowhere to shoot anything. In fact, last time we went out, there was a police swat type guy shooting as well.

***does fear me *** as in she knows if she does something I've explicitly told her not to do there will be consequences more dire than simply a time out. For instance no TV, games, toys or maybe even books, no ipod, and life in general isn't much fun.... should it be life or death well a spanking would certainly suit the consequences for this IMHO. But in general my daughter is rather well behaved and simply being told, don't touch this because it's dangerous, works out REALLY well. She's very cautious.

Im back :)

The Yukon gets about 8 in the city. The CRV doesn't fare much better. 12.8 avg. Funny thing is....it was an Obama car and the 4500 credit was supposed to go towards something much more fuel efficient than the trade....as I was digging out the radio code earlier, I stumbled across the window sticker. It reads 20/ 26.

The party tonight....no water!? Really? Plenty of curry, food, fruit, cake, soda, beer....but no water? I thought I was in Ecuador :)
