The consignment shop took 9 of my 10 items and 29/48 of Mrs. T-B.'s items. I made it to the resale shop where I donate my stuff, just before they closed, and handed off the rest. There was still time to go in and buy a Nautica tie for $2, whee man.

The best news from the consignment shop -- and contrary to what they'd previously said -- they are taking ties, so I can purge my current inventory of approximately 2,750,146 ties and get some bucks for them, $i man.

This is, in fact, an opening to buy excellent ties at resale places for $2 or less and take them straight to consignment. Hoorah for free enterprise, whee and $i, man.

place to get a pedicure... In Canada said places are normally in nail shops or spas with the spa ones being more expensive but I don't have to smell the ####### that goes on people's nails. Same down here in the USA?

Sorry that your pedi is sick. I hope that it meets with a cure.

Mrs. T-B. does her own pedicures. The intoxicating odor permeates the casa. I inhale deeply to ensure that my brain-damage remains among the world's finest, whiff man.

Now to visit Home Depot to see what kinda cheap stuff is on sale. And stock back up on salt and washer fluid.....

Two ceiling fans (one flush-mount, one 4"-downrod) left Home Despot by way of credit card (sigh man) and await free installation on Dec. 31 by Cheap Gringo #1, who with wife and mother-in-law are visiting over Gnu Year's, si man.

Under 3 weeks to go now.. time is flying fast.

move things around in the bathroom, make a big mess in the shower, leave some mud in the tub, etc etc ..... She'll get up in the middle of the night and clean it all ... the FUN, is for you to 'set the trap' each night

Conversely, some husbands can hide expensive gifts, piles of money, et al. by the sink or stove with no fear of their discovery, sigh man.

On the bright side, Mrs. T-B. dragged me to a furniture liquidator tonight so that she could purchase a new bedframe to replace the one in our guest room. As soon as Mini-B. was slumbering, she uninstalled the old one and installed the new one, even vacuuming under the bed between the un and the install. She bothered me only for helping to move the mattresses and the bunkie-board, whee man. However, just wait until tomorrow when I ask for her help in changing the sheets on any of our beds, sigh man: pick one from column A and one from column B:

"You never help me with your son, so why should I help you with the beds?"

"The maid has left."

"I'm making lunch. You can either have lunch or help with the beds."

"I hate doing the beds! You do it!"

"Mini-B. is driving me crazy. I'm going shopping. You deal with it and with your son."

Awaken far too early after bad night.

Attend one nearby and worthless garage sale.

Look for other GS that's nowhere to be found.

Go to pharmacy to pick up scrips.

Go to consignment shop; not open yet.

Go to little-used bank to reactivate dormant account by withdrawing megabucks.

Deposit megabucks into chief bank. Megabucks will fly out for property taxes later, $igh man.

Drive 16 miles to estate sale; buy nothing.

Attend second ES; buy nothing.

Tour nearby and completely unrecognizable childhood haunts.

Drive to Sears in fruitless hunt for ceiling fans, but encounter sympathetic salesclerkette.

Drive to Home Despot; purchase two c-fans for mini-megabucks.

Get call from Mrs. T-B., inquiring about pickup for lunch out.

Get immediate call from Mini-B., who announces the crash of two of his trains.

Arrive at casa; retrieve brood in Mrs. T-B.-mobile; sojourn to KFC.

Dine semi-heartily at KFC with use of BOGO coupon with one day left on it.

Take Mini-B. to park; become exhausted during observation & chasing.

Drop brood at casa; change to T-B.-jalopy; consign stuff at consignment shop.

Take jetsam from consignment shop to resale shop for donation.

Purchase Nautica tie for $2 at resale shop.

Return to casa; take blessed, peaceful, roaring nap with cat.

Awaken from roaring nap by miniature descendant at bedside: "Daddy, wake up!"

Take brood in Mrs. T-B.-mobile to furniture liquidator for bedframe purchase.

Take brood to Burger King; dine semi-heartily with use of BOGO coupons.

Drop brood at casa; change to T-B.-jalopy; sojourn to Aldi Foods.

Spend $51.59 at Aldi Foods for staggering amount of comestibles.

Swing by traditional supermarket for two fill-in purchases; buy toothpaste on major sale.

Return to casa; unload purchases; decompress self as possible; tuck Mini-B. in bed.

Watch late local TV news; watch part of Univision late world news.

Irritate Mrs. T-B. with semi-dumb questions about Spanish words.

Warsh dishes in mandatory Saturday-night massacre.

Attempt to participate in VisaJourney but am bedframed by Mrs. T-B.

Off-log from VJ; de-dish the warsher; minister to cat; prep, bed, presumably zzz man.

Perhaps 6 laundry loads lurk on Sunday, aarrgh man.

Nearly. Still a few things to do (including booking the flights, but holding out for price reductions in January). As far as other official stuff, just need to tell various government agencies I'm leaving, and have two or three more outings with various members of family and friends. Not in a row like Mrs T-B, though.
