The boat is a twin inboard. So it never really has to come out for the winter. It had to come out this year because of a broken trim tab. I woulda liked an extra couple of weeks to fish. The marina was told verbally by me to take it out in the last week of November....

Who told you to be absent? How's your folks?

They're good.

They're mentally preparing themselves for a trip to my sister's in January.

Well, actually it's my mom who needs to be mentally prepared.

She hasn't been able to leave home all by herself since her stroke last year.

Her eyesight is bad and if she's left alone in an unfamiliar teritory, she walks into walls and other objects, since her left eye is not working properly.

But I hope she will feel brave enough to not stress herself with this trip.

My father just has to be careful with her, and all should be fine.

BoatMan ! What new A-D-D tricks on the Malaysian Pirate? Surely you have some to share, as there was a holiday and stuff.

Now to find a tripod and a place to get a pedicure... In Canada said places are normally in nail shops or spas with the spa ones being more expensive but I don't have to smell the ####### that goes on people's nails. Same down here in the USA?

I'm up to my ears in tripods.

Personally, the nail shop is more affordable and what 99% of the people here use, mostly because the spas usually employ lazy CABA women and the nail shops have hard working Chinese women. If I'm getting a pedicure, I want a vigorous scrub and massage.

The "spa" type places here unless they are very very expensive, are usually just slightly more spread out nail salons with better decor and back rooms for facials and botox.
