I'm Lutheran by association and schooling. But I'm not religious. I'm going to introduce her to God, for the fact that there's no denying that Christianity teaches right from wrong as we know it.

That monastery you speak of has some embezzling going on. The places are run down and dilapidated. Somebody is pocketing all the $$

Interesting.

I don't agree about Christianity, but I won't go into it. I'm kind of a purist, to me it is just the mix of Judaism and Roman paganism, and I would just do one or the other.

She's Buddhist, what does she need Christmas presents for? I never got my ex-husband Christmas presents, 'cuz he was a Jew.

Aha ! Tis the season for her to transcend to the next level, and no, self-immolation not optional for this next level.

the year was 2003.......may be 2004.......

Tiff wanted her first LV for Christmas......

So I took her to the 57th street store in Manhattan. She never bought anything that cost a thousand bucks in her life. So she modestly asked for the smaller Speedy....which is a few hundred bucks.....I asked her if she was sure. She said yes, and so I got it for her. 2 weeks later I saw her with a new larger LV. She didn't want me to spend that much, so she asked for the 500 dollar bag, then exchanged it adding her own $$ to get the one that she really wanted lol

That would be the start of "Making a Malaysian American Princess Fiend " series...........

This is normal, at least what I learned for normal, when I was in that neck of the straights.

I got an iphone a few months ago and I'm convinced this thing hates me

It's down right stupid.

Take it to an Apple store, ask for an OS Image reload from them.

Or find a teenager..

Ducks in the oven, desserts are cooked and I get like 5 minutes to sit down before running around again.

If the house isn't cleaned to the queen's standards for tomorrow's company, I will be toast.

That's a cute cookie. :)

There is so much pressure around here and most places I've lived to have an almost antiseptically clean house. It is a real PITA to do with a kid around.

sounds like my mom's or sister's house. Where I am at right now...complete opposite though lol I think I am the only one that ever cleans or washes the dogs or washes the sheets or keeps the house somewhat tidy.

It is probably better without the pressure and much easier to handle tbh.

It might be a problem when we move out because I am annoying when it comes to putting your dirty clothes away or not wearing shoes in the house (huge offense in my house) or putting away dishes or throwing out the trash etc.

Uh..so bored. Had some egg whites and peas for dinner and dark chocolate ball.

Luckily I found a way to communicate with hubby while he plays his game (started this morning when he got up ...still going strong).

Just signed on the messenger and sent him tells while he is playing. Somewhat ridiculous sight...I am sitting right behind but he responds so yay for that. lol (although he did mention that he has to tab out which is not desirable but if he responds that it means he is not so busy - phew for that).

I agree with Nola on this actually, I don't think you need God or any other religion to teach a child right from wrong or good from bad. I was never raised religiously and I think I have a very strong sense of moral right or wrong. I can barely watch the news for all the horrible things people do to one another. I play FPS games and I would never raise a gun to someone IRL. My daughter is very conscious of good and bad as well as how she makes others feel, and she barely knows what God is (or rather what other people believe God is.)
