Yes, you numbskull -- don't confuse it with Poland! laughing.gif

Someone needs a geography lesson, oj tak...

You very silly man.....making fun of Poland is finished.....

Jada dared us to make fun of the Czechs.........

You've been reading the RUB regional forum, oj tak...

1- A businessman was walking through a Las Vegas casino and stopped to admire the particular dexterity of a card-dealer.

"Where did you go to school, young man?" he asked the dealer.

"Yale," said the dealer, without looking up.

"Yale? Impressive!" said the businessman. "What's your name?"

"Yim Yohnson."

good morning everyone ! So we are having pizza for christmas, no tree, no festivities..spent last night crying my eyes out (privately) since for some reason it made me miss home. We never celebrated much either but we had a tiny tree and a dinner together and it felt special. And of course we all baked and what not. *sigh*.

Do you mean no festivities at all?

I mean me and my parents aren't religious and all, we don't go to church and all that stuff, but we have a strong tradition, so the Christmas Eve's dinner (since that's the most celebrated time over here) always has been full of traditional dishes... :)

Sorry to hear you won't get that... cray5ol.gif

That's great! :)

The T-B.-mobile is back from the shop, where the nonworking turn-signals & brake lights were diagnosed. From the service invoice, see man: "Found high resistance at fuse terminal inside instrument panel junction box. Clean terminals & replace fuse. Restest & verified proper turn signal & brake lamp operation."

They comped it without my needing to $ay anything, which is good. Ironically, today, Mrs. T-B. found the key/remote set that I'd had made shortly before her arrival and never could find again, grrr man. Now, I have 3 working keys, 2 working remotes, and a third remote that she says she can fix, grrr man. All will outlast the infernal T-B.-jalopy, croak man.

Soon, you shall have to replace this automobile with a better automobile.....such as a 1976 Ford Pinto.... :)

On the plus side, my sister's coming home from hospital today.

what was she in there for?

1- Pan seared kielbasa

2- Steamed Kielbasa

3- BBQ kielbasa

4- Deep fried kielbasa

5- Kielbasa noodle soup

6- Kielbasa Casserole

7- Devils kielbasa cake

Nope.

No kiełbasa at all.

The tradition is that there should be 12 dishes, but in my home there never was so many.

So we have:

- beetroth souper with ear-dumplings

- potato salad

- sauteed carp (it's a fish eaten only in Christmas in Poland ;))

- dumplings

- compote made from special fruits

Usually I'm full after carp and salad, so I don't eat any dumplings on the Christmas Eve :D

sorry about your mug Steve....technically it is not broken broken...it is just the handle right ? You could glue it back together ? Then it would be "mug with experience" like "a person with a scar".

They can make a movie about my mug. So titled...."Scar mug" about a refugee mug that creates an empire outta smuggled coffee beans.......

I hope you get to visit home soon Jada............

Well, this year is my parents and me only.

Last year it was my sister with her husband and their two boys as well.

When I was younger we used to visit my grandparents (from my mother's site) on Christmas. My mom has 4 siblings and they all have families, so there used to be a big and noisy crowd there :)

But after my grandparents died a couple of years ago, we don't visit each other, and the tradition of such big festivities died with my grandparents...
