Just spent all morning trying to get MS office to work so I could do my homework. Took me two hours to get it to function correctly. On the bright side, I found the homework material pretty interesting, which made the reading go by quickly. I usually end up reading three pages before realizing I haven't taken in a damn thing and have to back and reread. I foresee a lot of this in my future - I took a history class this semester, too. headbonk.gif

Considering hubby is the only one working at the moment, I was surprised to find that he gets paid this Friday and yet we still have about half of his last paycheck in the bank. Considering we paid the phone bill, several medical bills, gas, credit card bill, and put a portion of it in the savings, I'm pretty impressed! happy.png That realization made my morning.

Every time I find myself in that situation, I later discover some check hasn't hit the bank yet.

You'll be fine. I think preparing for all this must be the worst part.

I guess so. Think my family seeing me off at the airport's going to be the worst part.

Excited, nervous and daunted.

Sounds just the same as how my wife says she felt before she came here. I think a big part of her fear was flying internationally alone though.

Yeah. My fear is down to more personal issues, on the other hand. But it probably stems down to the questions a lot of new immigrants ask (and have asked throughout time) themselves.

I think it is all fairly typical probably. I know my husband was very worried about if he'd find work, if people would be able to understand him, if he'd be the weird outsider, etc. It all turned out just fine.

Americans love Brits anyway.

She had those to. But right before leaving, it was more the fear of travelling half way around the world alone which overshadowed them. I asked her if she was worried if she'd find me, and she said no, she was confident I'd be there waiting for her. I myself was worried she might take the wrong way out of international arrivals and get lost.

How much will he own us after that? biggrin.png

Not a thing, he just doesn't want his wife beating him up because she's too smart for him.

my brain biggrin.png

Mine never stops it takes me forever to fall asleep.

Day off = cleaning day

Someone kill me.

I'm going to be cleaning in high gear soon it's been driving me nuts. The only problem is when I start I can't stop and usually turn the house upside down.

so ...I made brownies and added some walnuts in them. Hopefully they are good. Mac and cheese came out well. Did not sleep at all last night. Making meatloaf and got the menu for next week prepared.

I am tired.

Yummy

Excited, nervous and daunted.

I was an out right basket case. I sold my house was packing up my 4 kids now I wouldn't change it for the world but at the time it scared the hell out of me.
