If you used a credit card, that may have doubled the warranty.

Dang wish I had know that earlier. I mean I'm still happy with her and all, but keep worrying about that darn warranty wearing out. Besides she's almost to the age to get traded in for two 19 year olds. Sure I'd have to become mormon or muslim or something, but for two 19 year olds, heck it just might be worth it. And think of the time and trouble I could save, not having to learn another language! They could talk to each other when they got sick of speaking English! Might need a locked room if they both go into PMS mode at the same time though. Not for them, for me to hide in! What type of person do you think I am?

So it may be cheaper for me to go visit the kiddo AND my mom vs having her come here. Her dad will pay for flights to and from BC but not to and from Colorado. I think even if both hubs and I went for a week it would be cheaper than flying her here. CRAZY!!!

That is some crazy prices.

Well we got the boy his car insured and that's a crazy price too. He's out driving now, he needed to get extra keys made.

Clothes, shoes, purses, toys, electronics, candy, dishes, vitamins etc... Just about anything actually. We do not throw unworn out stuff away or sell it off, we ship it there. Even my old clothing, that would not fit anyone in our family, it will fit someone as there's a good and ready market for used clothing. A balikbayan box is like 29"X19X19" and anything you can fit in it, goes. Weight doesn't matter. We also regularly send smaller packages of gifts through the postal service for birthdays. Just yesterday we sent a glucose meter for her mother. She had one, but then her brother came up diabetic to, and he took her's when he went off to sea again.

We actually used to do the same for poor family back in Europe, but at USPS rates, which are definitely pricier.

Has your wife been watching her glucose levels as well?

So I'm thinking that I probably should have put myself in the second Norwegian class, because the 101, despite moving faster than Romance languages of the same level, I pretty much already know except several slight spelling/pronunciation differences. Easy A?

I started using MyFitnessPal after reading Nola's blog - such a useful app! After keying in my breakfast and lunch entries, I'm left with 400 calories for the rest of the day...since it's doubtful I'll give up my 3pm coffee, it looks like it'll be a grapefruit for dinner...

Yeah - it is great! I've lost a lot of weight already in the week since I've gone back to calorie counting.

You can always exercise to eat more. ;)

rofl.gif Yeah, I have one of those downstairs. I like treadmills, but this one might be as old as I am and just isn't as smooth as modern ones.

I used to go to this all-women's gym that had treadmills with in-built air-conditioning vents so you wouldn't overheat while jogging. There was also a pull-out TV screen with USB slots so you could watch movies without trying to balance your phone/ipod on the treadmill screen. They ran so quiet, too. Mine thinks it's a high-speed blender, the way it carries on.

Okay lunch time is over. My boss has a meeting on her calendar so I might be back if the office is quiet. Ta!

1. Also, thanks be due to Kat and you, Comrade. For helping out in that abominable thread of misinformation regarding return trips and AOS.

2. Funny thing is when I told Comrade Awesome One I booked the ticket, her first response was "Why did you book a roundtrip?" - I promptly had to explain that it was £500 cheaper to book the return compared to the one-way. Thankfully I can cancel the return segment online with United.

3. That being said, we think we've also fixed a date for the wedding but it's pending confirmation of whether she got her math right and indeed has that weekend off as standard.

1. Now gone from forum altogether.

2. Comradette needs to think like a Cheap Gringa, si man.

3. Five out of four people are bad at math, and hopefully she's not at least one of them.
