I don't think wic will give them huggies though. Steven can throw them a bag of diapers once in a while.

I feel bad for those who marry into these big "leech" families. We sent SIL like $20 worth of stuff for the baby for Christmas and that will be it, probably for at least a year.

so I'll tell you guys another story.....

The Mobile food vending in NYC is very lucrative. google "Korilla Cart"

It's very very difficult to get a license for a Mobile food vending unit. There's an array of different permits. Restricted, Boro-wide, city-wide, seasonal, temporary, etc....

A couple of years ago, I took Gump by the hand, took him to take a food safety course (in chinese), got him a "mobile food vendor personal license" and a NYS certificate of authority to collect sales tax.

Then, I applies for and got him, a NYC Mobile Greencart food unit permit. (This is the permit for the cart itself).

Then, I took 2000 bucks out of my own pocket, and I had a company named "Shanghai Stainnless" build an up to code NYC GreenCart (google that). Then I rented a uhaul, hauled this thing to Queens and had it inspected, and duly licensed and certified as a NYC Greencart authorized for vending in MANHATTAN!

then I staked out an area in uptown Manhattan by Mt Sinai Medical Center for him.

Then I rented a place to store this unit.

So, Gump, and this cart, is fully operation and duly licensed now for 2 years.

How many times do you think he set up shop at Mt Sinai ?

I'm thinking he wants me to go get the fruits and veggies, tow the unit there, and sell the #######, collect the money, and stuff it in his pocket for him.....

I'm thinking you ought to stuff his lazy a$$ in that cart and say don't come back until you gots a fist full of cash. If he returns, tell him to head out the next day to, or you'll stuff him head first in the cart. This guy isn't going to grow any wings unless you cut the branch out from under him.

once you find the horse, all you shall see is a horse ...Find the horse !!

(took me 20 secs, which is bad enough....so...ready...steady...go ! )

Took me two seconds. Its much like the old lady or young lady picture trick.

have a shopping list for next weeks dinners for my hubby's family.

Oh and the grandma told them off for calling me "the foreign girl" rather than by my name lol She is such a sweet little woman.

Its better than calling you the commy. My wife calls me the foreigner still. All Filipinos call Americans foreigners, even after they're in the USA.

oh I know. I thought it was sweet of her. She is so small and bubbly and wants to make everyone feel at home and welcome.

2 secs...nice ! I suck :D

OMG - you gots him a cart, certs and permits and licenses and a pitch

and he doesn't use it? for 2 years? #######!

carts can make over 2K / day.

You did it 'the cheap way', fwiw, as most recent immigrants don't know how to wrangle all and instead, wind up signing a note for 25 to 50K from an elder in their ethnic community .

Still he's been on his @ss for 2 years? #######? ! ? !

might want to think about selling off all, i bet you could get over 18K for it, if'n the permits can transfer without much hassle.

Gump has genetic predisposition to fail. Why you still subsidizing him? who negotiated that deal for you?

ETA - his wife could drive the rig that drops him off and picks him up, each morning. Sure, it means both of them leave your house at 5:00 AM each day, but IMO, that would have been a plus.

a little background on Gump....

He and his useless older brother crashed the shore of the USA in 1999. and all they ever did was deliver Chinese food, gamble, drink, gamble, drink.....

in 2006 or so, he met my SIL and asked her out. SIL was a little lonely I guess, Tiff had me, and she was the older one, so she said "OK, what the hay"

Gump's brother somehow got a greencard. But is still a loser up to his nose in debt.

Both of them are over the hill with no drive, no ambition, no brains, no cash, no back roads, no anything.....

and in the case of Gump, no ambition.

ok BoatMan - you should get a long-term contract with an industrious human to rent out yer cart. Hide the monies paid, also.

people dig my number out of the DOH files and call me all the time soliciting me. yes, 2k is not uncommon for these types of carts. And Manhattan permits are gold.

He is also on the waiting list for a full fledged Citywide full service food cart, like this.

and when he finally gets an invite to build a full service cart, he has 6 months to build it and get it inspected. these things cost 100-400K to build. And I'm not financing it.......

lmao yeah that's me..........

ergo the old adage....
