you're stuck in the 70s geezer......get with the times.

Terribly sorry - having a mid-20s lass DOES mean you (yes, you, and not me) have to keep up .

My condolences, offered across a bloodied sword wink.png

My German friend in high school taught me the fine art of going commando while wearing a skirt or dress. Changed my life.

My wife totally hated not wearing panties. She even used to wear them in the showerrolleyes.gif. Her attitude has changed slightly, but I don't think its to the point of wearing a skirt with no panties on.

Tiff thinks her legs are fat....

Everyone knows this is the 90s smile.png

Juna thinks her legs are too thin. They look great actually. Well maybe her thighs are getting a little pudgy now

Some of the guys in the regional Philippines forum are trying to say a K-1 who gets married can stay as long as they want without adjusting status. And there's no way they can be deported if they refuse. Apparently because there is no time frame where your must apply to adjust status, they think that gives the K-1 legal status beyond the I-94. Wonder why they don't give them the magic I-94 then with the date that changes to infinity once it hears the marriage vows. I wouldn't mind their ignorance so much, but it pisses me off they say I'm spreading false information when I say the K-1 is out of status until they apply to adjust status.

well, depends on how it's stated. They're not entirely wrong.....

but definitely not correct....

that is to say, they're somewhat right.....but not 100% wrong.....

May be partially right, but may be wrong...

Regardless, it is morally wrong and a huge problem with the K1 visas. People's foreign spouses deserve to be able to work and travel at their leisure and have easier LPR status upon divorce without having to do a VAWA.

OMG - that's funny ! Tiff is over 30 and yer having these problems !! OMGz !

Still, work on that trade-in/up program next quarter...

Cary - I don't have the energy to write the full explanation for K-1 visa holders, but IMO, all that stuff there in that thread - no one has presented the complete overview.

Maybe someone else will chime in... I'm doing stuff and don't really have the mental capacity for a 1100 word answer.

I haven't even brought up that point. At a minimum its irresponsible to bring someone on a K-1 without the resources to adjust status after. Going for years should be unthinkable.

I can’t imagine being stuck here without any status.

I was thinking that something like the fees being owed prior to arrival but refundable if they don’t get married and head home instead...

You wouldn't even be able to work to pay your own fees! Terrible, terrible.

I read a husband/wife post on the MENA forum last year about this very thing. The way the guy described his life, it was basically like he was a prisoner in their house and I think it had been more than a year being out of status. He couldn't just leave and go home because they had children.

My husband is actually working today and I can't wait for him to come home and massage my arms. They hurt!

I want to grab someone and shake the ####### out them. My daughter runs an etsy store she has an order that clearly states it takes 3-4 weeks to make. It also clearly states that rush orders need to be cleared that it can be done before the order is placed. Just now this person sends two messages asking why her order has not been shipped, she placed it 5 days ago, the fur she wants is not in stock and has not arrived yet to even start it. Then the 2nd email she says she wants it by Christmas. There is no way it can be done, if the fur was here already sure she can sew around the clock for the next 2 days but it's not in so can't do it. headbonk.gif

Some people are just not the brightest bulbs. ;) I hope she doesn't leave your daughter a bad review.

So mine came home from school today and like every Thursday had library books. She managed to find a book in the school library about a little girl who had moved from Scandinavia and was missing her 'mormor' at Christmas. The little one was just crying last night about home much she missed her grandparents. cray5ol.gif She couldn't have possibly had read this book and the little one actually thought it was about Hanukkah (which would be fine too with her other grandma being Jewish). laughing.gif She swears up and down that she picked this book for herself, foreign words and all, but I think that the librarian or teacher might have done it knowing it would be relevant.
