the pic was fun...find a horse (I know you cannot share shhh) just find the horse. biggrin.png

I no see a horse....but I see a carp.........

whaddyahell? what happened? why not move em to Texas, where everything is cheaper and the wages are ok ? Sure, it's an initial 4 to 5K hickie for the move, but

out of site, out of mind. And Gump can use his 'living in America' skills very well in the Dallas area.

I dun think my SIL will go for that. Tho your suggestion makes much sense.

In the past, I've told them to look into the Atlanta area.

Over here, there are too many fooks competing. Wall to wall.....

In fact, I took a pic for you guys when I was at dim sum.....

When I first divorced my first husband, I thought I would attempt to set him up with a Filipina (him being part Filipino), because I honestly thought maybe I was the problem or a wife would settle him down some. I then decided no woman deserved that and later definitely had it confirmed it was a him problem.

I don't think there is anyone else who'd do it for him, unfortunately. If either of us died, I don't think the other would remarry. Well, ok, maybe he'd say "another Nola, but less hormonal and impatient". You got one of those?

I am actually thinking down of the line of going back to work if we don't have more kids. Question is, when I finish my current degree do I get an MBA or go for the MS in math? Economically the MS in math would be better because it would be free and I'd get 12k a year for TAing.

Did your part Filipino husband pick up the machismo that is so common in the culture over there? Thats why my wife didn't want to marry a Filipino. She didn't want to leave her country either, but I didn't give her much choice. And why would you be the one to try and fix him up with someone new? Thats his problem.

If my wife were to die before, I honestly think I wouldn't be far behind her.

Is there such a thing as a less hormonal woman? Maybe after menopause, but that's a totally different problem. Or a woman that was once a man, that might fit that bill.

Got no idea what's best in your area of study. But experience has taught me you can have short term gains or long term gains, rarely both.

back to Gump and Co.

Apparently I'm like the last person to find out. Like Tiff was afraid that I'd not approve? really, that's not my kid as far as I know. So what do I care? I'm not going to be critical of them. (what am I the People's Gubment?)

I think Tiff is already expecting us to help in someway. And yes OK, a case of formula here and there, no problem. (This kid will be on WIC and SNAP). But if Tiff thinks we're responsible for providing house and home to them, she's asking for a divorce...

OK - add in another 1K to the budget for knock-out drugs for that family, give in NYC, so that they wake up in Dallas inside the moving truck.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

oh yea...and no working on the house of anykind during gestation, by any member of the family......

But that superstition can be trumped, by shaking salt and rice on the ground as an offering.......I'm not kidding (hey I know some Chinese stuff)

no payday is next Thursday lol. And it's all electronic transfer. No one sees a check. Just a statement.

When they go out one day, fill the basement completely with salt. Tell them you're chasing away evil spirits.

Tiff asked me to find them an apt. I'm not housing a family of 4 in my basement. For free, for any price....

Sorry, Boatman - this is common Malay diaspora methodology - don't tell the USCitizen till after the fact, hoping for forgiveness instead of prior permission.

Refactor as you can, when you can, in all areas.

Bonus points for getting signatures on legally enforceable promissory notes.

for making healthy dishes !!!!

that's ok, though - no pork was damaged in the writing of this reply.

I've got steamer pots, three different sizes. Used them all the time before my wife took over the cooking. I still pull them out when I'm cooking.

there's nothing for me to forgive, or permit. I'm not the CCP....

this is a free country man. My house tho, is not free.....lol

I do have another house. in Brooklyn. a 3 family. But there are no vacancies there.

If I did have a vacancy there, I'd discount the rent for them. It's not that I don't want to help them. It's that I don't want that savage kid in my house picking on my daughter in her own home. Worse yet, influence her in a bad way.

This is going to be my new motivation for sticking out this craptastic situation in hopes for a better future. :) I need all the positive encouragement I can get.
