The Chinese food restaurants always used to have zodiac place mats when I was a kid.

I seemed to have pissed off some people elsewhere! Oops! Whatever.

the Chinese Zodiac is complex in its pure form.

In some years, like year of the pig....the cut off is later, and if you're born early in the next year (Year of the dog), you're still a pig. I dunno how that works.....

So people born in January and february have to look deep in reference to their true zodiac year.

So my husband upon deciding between the 2 semester certificate in Plumbing and the 4 semester in Plumbing and HVAC, decides he must do the AAS in Plumbing and HVAC. /headdesk He seemed good at trade school in Denmark, but I had to push and pull him through a community college class he took here. I'm a little worried about time issues with this.

I don't get why you would do the AAS or how apprenticing in two different field would even work.

He's got an appointment on Monday to enroll in the twice a week free GED class, which I'm hoping he will take seriously and do well at, otherwise he won't get into the plumbing program anyway. They try and get people to do the adult HS diploma, but he's got no where near the classes he'd need for it having stopped in 10th grade and Danish education being the way it is. He didn't even take history or anything in 9th or 10th grade.

I knew they made good money depending on where you lived.My father has been trying to get him to be a crane operator. My father was an Ironworker/welder(union) and made good money sometimes more then a lot of doctors but when your life is on the line like that you should be payed good.

1. Oh, he's had his tarjeta verde for a few months now, but quality care isn't the problem. Our dentist in Ecuador was a good friend who actually went to medical school in New York, and was quite good at her job - and was much cheaper than anything you'd find Stateside. He's just terrified of dentists in general for some reason.

2. He is, luckily, open to discussing and coming to a decision we can both agree on, which is what's happened up to now. But I'll be damned if MIL thinks she's gonna be getting a monthly stipend or something. She's very good at playing the guilt card with him, but I see through that BS.

1. This is why "medical tourism" is going so well, si man. Tell him that dentists put their pants on both legs at a time, just like we do... uh...

4. There are many aspects of NYC that are stand alone, and unsurpassed. In fact, too much to list.... You'd really have to live here to understand. You'd understand why everything is the way they are.

4. The newcomer's description of Ciudad de Nueva York that I heard (years ago, from a new "immigrant" there) is "It really does have the best of everything, and the worst of everything. It's the Big Apple, and like a sink full of dirty dishes." Rather than argue now with an obvious supporter, I'll simply say that if I were ordered to live there, I'd abdicate the U.S. first. Like a prospective marriage, 99.44% of things can feel, look, and be wonderful -- but if there's one fundamental issue on which you cannot compromise, that marriage will end up in trouble or shouldn't occur in the first place. There are many aspects of Ciudad de Nueva York -- in fact, too many to list -- about which I can't compromise.
