That company was going great guns, and then Curtis Mathes died in the plane crash. Not sure what happened to the company thereafter (Google is our potential friend), but it sure seemed to drop off the map.

hahaha. take a carafe of freshly collected urine (yours or Gumps or both) and slowly pour it over the shocks. They will unfreeze within 2 minutes. Whats the dealio about urine? Other electrolytes in it, and a much lower freezing point than water, plus it's warm.

LPoP and therefore unread, but if it happened to be a tip about productive uses for urine, did you learn it from Urethra Franklin?

Handy Hint - Amdro mixed with peanut butter and left on a trail works wonders.

Mini-B. used to beg for us to read to him, especially "Green Eggs & Ham" and "Hop on Pop." However, he now refuses to read, or to put up with our reading to him. Anyone with advice, huh man?

The dishwarshing chore was amazingly tolerable, if not refreshingly pleasant -- Mrs. T-B. didn't stow very much in there, and what was there was on its proper rack. Most of the silverware (Comrade Slim, it wasn't the good silverware, so forget it!) was in the soak-bucket intended for it, and said bucket actually had soapy water in it for best soakage, whee man. The dinner plates were actually in the sink, the various coffee cups weren't caked with anything too gross, and Mini-B.'s milk bottles were in a findable group and not super-rancid, how now brown cow man.

hmm maybe try some different genres. my nephew had some trouble getting into reading...he'd let us read to him, but give him a book on his own and he'd shift his feet and wail and yell till we gave up.

turns out he just hated enid blyton. now he's hooked on some 'beastmaster' series and we can't get him to put the books away to do his chores.

you could also try incorporating some kind of interactive activities, like getting him to draw out scenes or using finger puppets to animate the story. maybe a reward system?

Maybe you need a new book, something he picks out, my little one likes grabbing her books to read at different times of the day but she likes them as part of her bedtime routine.

2. Hard to read to him "upside down" (showing him the pictures/words) while also being interactive. Maybe Mrs. T-B. & I can try it as a team effort. I don't know what we can reward him with; all that he wants is Thomas -- and he has a house full of that, see man.

i had a root canal done on one of my molars (or maybe not a molar...what's the tooth in between a molar and a non-molar?) maybe 2 years ago. it's been fine all that time but last month started twinging every time i ate something hot/warm.

it's like ten times worse now than when it first started, even with sensodyne. i've been looking online and best case scenario, it's another root canal because the dentist might have missed a root, and worse case, i lose my tooth.

i don't know why i've put off going to the dentist for so long. i'm always afraid of going, but once i'm done, i laugh at myself for being scared. and yet every time i have to go, it's this feeling of absolute dread.

It feels too cold for ice cream. I need coffee(decaf) or some hot cocoa with marshmallows. Hmm, that sounds delicious. Now I must go see about making a yummy warm cup before bed.

Thomas the Tank Engine books it is then. See if he will pick up any of those. Sounds like a phase. He will lose some interest in when he discovers other things to occupy his mind and time. Just let him overindulge with what he seems obsessed with at the moment. Try laying out other books with a similar interest/theme for him to see, such as The Little Engine That Could.

My one-and-only root canal was done by a dentist whose dental license was later yanked because of his inconsistent work and erratic personal behavior. When he began, he said, "I do it right, or I don't do it at all." I got rave comments about the high quality of the work from all subsequent dentists.

As little as I get to go to Mexico now, I have my cleanings and bleachings done there. Far, far cheaper than in the U.$., and the highest-quality work. I most recently got an anti-sleep apnea mouthpiece for $350 drive-out price; in the U.$., it would have approached $1,000 ($Many).

Grandma-Mini-B. and I are quite anguished at Mini-B.'s refusal to read. Earlier, he was so far ahead of his peers in alphabet and spelling skills; now, we fear that he's falling behind. He shows only mild interest even in his Thomas books (which aren't deep in their content). That tablet computer of his was the death blow, I think, but heaven forbid that we curtail its use. When I was his age, Mama T-B. controlled my behavior and educated me by giving me "any book." I don't know if this is just a phase, but if so, it's a long and intense one, sigh man.

I loved the little engine that could when I was a kid. And Bob the Builder (although I might have been a teenager and probably shouldn't have been watching cartoons).
