My rescue group only does local, within 60 miles of the twincities. http://tailsrescue.org Been waiting for an appropiate dog to come in to foster again, but they've been focusing on getting some big outdoor dogs to inside home fosters. I've taken a few large dogs in the past, but living in a townhome isn't really the right place for big dogs.

Miss Freezin deserves to freeze wearing boots like that! She wouldn't last a day in Minnesota! And thats not a joke per the last days.

Does that rescue group have a website? Its time for my daughter to find her own dog.

I present......

Miss Freezin Cosmopolitan in Burberry........

I found out what that window is. It's a survey.

Why are they letting those blimeys from Surrey into here? Oh wait this is an international forum. But why they letting Surrey's popup then?

There's an old Naval tradition. When entering the Arctic circle on a naval vessel. You strip down to your skivvies and run laps on the deck. You then become what's known as a "Blue nose"

sailors (Squids) and Marines (Jarheads) alike.

Nose isn't the only thing thats blue after that, but the other thing might have shrunk too small to notice.

I once went scuba diving in a pit mine in Wisconsin right after a fresh snow and the temps had dropped below zero. Absolutely gorgeous sunny day out, but damn cold. We needed to strip down outside completely to put on our thermals, then dry suits. It was mighty chilly out, and its a good thing my wife was on the other side of the world, as I don't think I saw my willey for week afterwards.

You notice the boots and snow pants I got my wife to wear? She's finally learned that function can be more important than style when its a Minnesota winter. She'll still opt for style when its not too cold though. But at least she listens when I say that's not gonna work today.

You Xed out an entire country. You're one mean Marklar!

now what were you looking for? The Edmund Fitzgerald?

Tiff always opts for Form before Function.....

I liked her better when she was a pygmy.....

Yesterday when the wife and I were out, I saw a vanity license plate that said Bo Peep, I told her we needed that plate for her car, as she could supply the little part of the title.

Oh and we were looking for nothing more than a good nitrogen buzz. Nitrogen is fun at depth, not so much fun if you return with too much to the surface.

Caryh, those tubing pictures look fun! I really want to get hubby out on the slopes, and he told me he wants to try snowboarding, but it's hard with his work schedule. :( We still have two months or so, though!

This may not seem a lot for those of you farther north, but it's 2 degrees here right now! I don't remember it ever being this cold here! BRRR.

I think Jane is the momma, and not the puppy shown.

Pics from the FB page of all the fostered animals now.

I don't have a foster dog now. The only one they're looking for a foster for is a black lab, which should have a fenced yard, which me no have. I'm waiting for another batch of dogs needing fosters comes in. There are groups here that mainly take in pit bulls to. I donna wanna do pit bulls of unknown origin. Already recently had a psycho cocker that had to be put down. Something was definitely wrong in its brain. Very sweet and loving dog, and would suddenly go crazy for no reason attacking anything, even thin air. I've dealt with aggressive breeds and dogs many times, but there's nothing to be done with a dog thats just plain nuts and dangerous because of it.

2 degrees and I'd be opening my coat to enjoy the warmth! We're supposed to see 33 degrees on Friday, how much you wanna bet I see someone in shorts?
