so use the settling trick. put 2 litres in a glass carafe, put it all in the fridge. The sludge will settle at the bottom, the stuff on top is drinkable.

just be happy you disconnected yer tap water feed to the ice maker on freezer, aye...

No husband doesn't own a still. I'm sure he knows someone though. Him being a chemical engineer would make some pretty power moon shine i would think. My fridges water is filtered, but water at walmart is cheaper then the filter.

When I lived in the DC 'burbs, I'd sometimes go into DC to eat at a Chinese restaurant. The place to which I usually went had dirty, ratty menus for the longest time. When they replaced them with new, laminated ones, I saw that the first menu item was "Wanton Soup." "I'll have 3 bowls!" I exclaimed spontaneously.

my youngest boy swore up and down that white chicken eggs were dinosaur eggs and the brown eggs were chicken eggs.

When Mini-B. would still read a book with us (he quit wanting to, cold turkey, months ago, and we can't figure out why -- ideas?), we would show him pictures and have him identify things. If he had never seen something, he was darned good at picking the next-closest thing that he knew of. When we showed him an alligator, he paused and said, "Dinosaur!" Now, he recognizes alligators.

If we go to a mall, he keeps saying, "Daddy, ride the alligator?" He wants to ride on the elevator so that he can push the buttons. Egad, but he's cute. His 3rd birthday is in 10 days.
