whatju guys upta for new years?

Similar Ecu couple (Cheap Gringo husband, Ecu wife, all hosed at Guayaquil consulate) plus Mama-EW came late Dec. 30. Mrs. T-B. had completely outdone herself in cleaning, as evidenced by many strange surfaces such as uncluttered countertops, clean floors, and every trash-basket full. I had just enough time to do husbandly garbage duty and rake approximately Many leaves when CGH, EW, & M-EW showed up, huffpuff man.

CGH is the world's #1 CG, 'tis important to note, exceeding even moi, genuflect man.

Were up till 1 a.m. jawboning bilingually, zzz man.

On Dec. 31, the two CGHs go resale-shopping while the chicas go to Kohl's (courtesy of $5-off coupons printed by Yours Truly, $i man).

CGHs go to resale shop with coupon for $10 off a $20 purchase, finding 2 shirts & a suit (#1CGH), and 2 designer ties @ $1.50 ea. plus 2 pairs of jeans that didn't fit (T-B., with method to madness).

CGHs take jeans straight to consignment shop (= madness method).

CGHs go to other resale shop; #1CGH finds 2 shirts at half-price.

CGHs meet chicas & Mini-B. at Langosta Roja (see Google Translate or Part IV) for lunch.

#1CGH springs for lunch because Mrs-#1CGH disappears into restroom for 30 minutes, off-pissed at #1CGH's beetching about having to pay tips at a sit-down eatery, $igh man.

All return to casa, where #1CGH begins cooking 30-lb. turkey brought for mass eating.

T-B. takes #1CGH to Aldi Foods; #1CGH goes absolutely apeshat, buying $Many in products.

T-B. repairs upstairs for nap, knowing that he'd never make midnight otherwise, zzz man.

T-B. has vivid dream of being in Ecu and calling uno sero dos (102, or Many) for the bomberos (firemen) because Mini-B. comes in and exclaims, Papi -- fuego! (Daddy -- fire!).

T-B.'s sleep is interrupted by smell of burning grease.

Mini-B. enters and exclaims "Daddy -- fire!"

T-B. awakens, reluctantly, eyes & nose burning; lurches downstairs.

Mrs. T-B. reports that turkey-grease has briefly caught fire and caused said smell.

Entire casa and all fabrics in it smell like burnt turkey-grease.

T-B. goes to supermarket; purchases four 2-packs of Renuzit air-freshener stalks; returns; installs Renuzit.

Turkey is finally cooked, deliciously, and is devoured, voraciously.

Mini-B. finally falls asleep. Chicas jabber in Spanish.

CGHs go across street to neighbor's spare-no-expense party.

T-B. gorges on deli meats, joins #1CGH in hearing drunken neighbors glorify themselves.

At 1 a.m., T-B. & #1CGH return to casa; find chicas still jabbering.

T-B. warshes dishes but does not de-dishwarsher; all go to bed, zzz man.

On Jan. 1, #1CGH arises early, fixes bad connection in ceiling-fan socket.

T-B. & Mrs. T-B. awaken at 6:30 to a pleasantly demanding Mini-B.

T-B. blearily empties dishwarsher.

CGHs install first of 2 replacement ceiling-fans (flush-mount).

Breakfast is eaten at 11 a.m, consisting chiefly of turkey.

CGHs install second of 2 replacement ceiling-fans (flush-mount).

Hellion 4-year-old blonde girlfriend of Mini-B. comes over, begins trashing place.

Lunch is eaten at 2 p.m., consisting chiefly of turkey.

At 2:30, T-B. escorts hellion blonde girlfriend back to grandmother's casa.

At 3, T-B., Mrs. T-B., T-B., & Mini-B. pile into the Mrs.-T-B.-mobile; #1CGH, EW, & M-EW pile into the #1CGH-mobile; travel to T-B.'s aunt & uncle's casa for a grand time.

At 7, all return to casa; guests pack. At 8-something, guests leave.

T-B. warshes massive conglomeration of towels.

T-B. throws warshed towels into dryer, starts load of bed iinens.

T-B. loads dishwarsher fully & neatly, discovering only later that 2 bowls had been left on table.

T-B. folds towels, throws bed linens into dryer.

T-B. folds bed linens.

T-B. completes Thread-Laundress report duties.

T-B. stays up far too late up-catching on Pink Ranter thread.

T-B. contemplates de-dishwarshering, minister-catting, prep, & bed, but decides agains immediacy.

I'm not good at talking to myself like T-bone is hopefully he's full of himself and can chat away a few pages tongue.png

Ah, you're just jealous because the voices talk only to ME, man.

Why no you get a rice cooker like everybody else?

Mrs. T-B. apparently has one but uses it for other stuff.

Uhm, sneak into an asian market, come back with a rice cooker. Or even CVS, the special 8 dollar rice cooker they sell there. If she's really cooking rice on a stovetop, you need to teach her the Justin Wilson rice cooking method (I'll leave it to you to find the video in the PBS archives)

Why don't we do it more fundamentally and train her to cook pasta, whee man.

Got some cool news.

1- hubby FINALLY got a SSN

2- While crossing back into US for the first time with hubby's GC, the CBP officers told me they would take care of hubby's history in the computer so we could stop getting pulled in.

They said they were able to do this themselves and expedite it since we've only ever been denied/hassled at one border.

KILLER!

Great news on both fronts. What was wrong with his history that they were pulling him in?

Oh god i want my own home so bad.

I'm going to go crazy.

Cannot take my step-dad any longer.

I am ashamed at myself for finding it so hilarious when people on here complained about living with parents/in laws.

I see it. I SEE IT.

ITS AWFUL!

Now you know I mean no disrespect. Oh who am I talking to be quiet.

And yes your diction takes you places. Notice with black folk how they always say "he or she is so well spoken". Colin Powell. Condi Rice. You never hear them say :"That Bill Gates is well spoken" or "Warren Buffet" Please

I get what you're saying. There are people who assume they're not going to be well spoken, based on race. Although I have to say, I've never heard anyone say that about Colin Powell or Condi Rice. Once someone has made a name for themselves, it doesn't seem like that would even be in question. Personally I'm more likely to note if a young person is well spoken or not, doesn't matter what color they are. I've always called my kids on that issue, whenever I catch them starting to swear or use slang. Not that I'm a perfect angel on that score myself, but I try not to slip.

I thought you said he was a great guy?

Great guy or not, people need their own space. I think I'd eventually go crazy staying at my mother in laws place to.

I know that I'm not going to understand women. I'll never understand how you can take boiling-hot wax, pour it onto your upper thigh, rip the hair out by the root, and still be afraid of a spider, no man.

The part I don't understand is why Tiff does this. She has no hair !!!

Trivia answer: Maine is the only U.S. state with a name of one syllable, see man.

and Alabama is the only state with 2 syllables :)
