Hi guys,

I received packet 3 this weekend. All fairly straightforward except for the part that states:

K1 3/4 petition is valid for 4 months from the priority date. If your interview will occur after your priority date, your fiance must submit a notarized statement of intent to marry within 90 days of your arrival in the US, in order to re validate the petition.

My priority date is the 24th Oct 2013, however we didn't receive this until the 10th Dec, making it likely that I won't get my interview until after the 24th Feb because I need to get my documents together and have my medical.

What does this mean and has anyone had to do this?

Many Thanks

Slow down young lady. See my time-line and is still the same Petition.

Frustration and Worry is not the Key here.

You won't be Approved if the Medical is not taken. When you have that Medical your Case is updated. The Petitioner will abide to a New Intent to Marry and in INK signed and dated and Notorized if thats what the letter required. You will immediately contact the Embassey and update yor Case TODAY and your Case is updated from your contact.

GET THAT MEDICAL DONE and all other Required Documents.

This is how it works for London > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/464497-noa2-expiry-date/?p=6637541

~ Moved from K-1 Process to UK regional - answers are specific to going through London and OP will receive most accurate answers there ~

You knw the letter of intent with the petition? ... I am legally able and intend to marry Joe Smith within 90 days of his entry on a K 1.... Etc. The American writes a new one with a more current date, gets it notarized, then mails it to the UK fiancé. You take it to the interview. Not big deal. most banks will notarized for their clients free. Or I see notary services offered at those mailbox or package sending type stores. Not the post office, but those independent businesses. That's all London needs to know the American didn't drop out. They extend the petition validity.
