K1 Visa - affidavit of support

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone can share some pearls of wisdom.

I'm completing packet 3 and my partner is putting together the affidavit of support. Unfortunately her current job doesn't reach the minimum earnings so we are using her step mother to be our co sponsor, however We will be living with her Mom when I get there, so should I also get her Mother to put a affidavit of support in too stating she will provide accommodation, etc and then her step mother to be the main sponsor.

You shouldn't need to if they ask you during the interview where you will be living you can just specify or if you're really worried about it include a signed statement from your fiance's mother saying you will be living with her and she is aware and okay with it.

No need for anything from the mother about where you will be living. This is not something that you need to divulge or explain in order to get a K-1 visa. You just need the I-134 from the co-sponsor and the supporting financial documentation that goes with it.
