My fiancee has her interview for her K1 in January, I'm gathering more documents that I will bring with me when I visit her next week (just happened that the interview fell just after I leave :( ). I make more than enough to fulfill the poverty guidelines but I just started my current job back in June (I was still in college but got a job after I graduated). It also happens however that with my previous jobs for 2011 & 2012 tax years I made above the poverty guidelines also (but these were with different jobs I don't work at anymore). Do you think the following will be enough supporting evidence with the i-134:

-Original from my current employer as of last week stating that I am a full time permanent employee, annual salary, hire date, etc.

-Copies of my last 4 paycheck stubs (with my YTD income already showing far above the poverty guidlines).

-Copies of my 1040s & W2 for tax years 2011 & 2012 (as stated these were for other jobs but my income was above the poverty guidelines

What do you think? I also requested some transcripts from the IRS just in case but they will not arrive for another week or so, but wouldn't the 1040 with W2s be enough? Is the total evidence above sufficient for my fiancee's interview with my new job and all?

If you have an IRS office nearby, you can walk in and get the transcripts so you have them. I think what you are providing seems sufficient to prove your income though. Just make sure your consulate does not ask for complete tax returns, in which case you would really want to get those transcripts. Some consulates will accept just the 1040s and W-2s, and others do not need tax returns at all. They are all different.

You need to be plain as day and crystal clear, do not miss anything, do not hide anything from the Consulate. The Supporting documents for the I-134 form are as follows:

(A.) Statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance
(B.) Statement(s) from your employer on business stationary showing: 1. Date and nature of employment; 2. salary paid; 3. whether position is temporary or permanent (also include copies of your last two pay stubs and your previous W-2 for the associated employer if available)
(C.) If Self Employed: 1. Copy of last income tax return filed (or IRS transcripts); or 2. report of commercial rating concern
(D.) List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

If you feel your income is inadequate, you might consider getting a co-sponsor. Your income needs to meet the U.S. poverty guidelines found here: http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/13poverty.cfm If you find that your income does not cover, I would advise to get a co-sponsor! Otherwise, your fiance will most likely be denied visa.

I was in a similar situation, I graduated in May and started a new job in May also. My fiance's interview was in October and for the I-134 I only brought A & B of the supporting documents and the consular never even asked about it and approved us without any issue.
