anybody knows how will uscis/nvc or embassy send packets to our spouse, i mean do they send it thru regular post office, UPS, Fed-Ex, DHL etc...

is it a registered mail.?

any chance it might get lost?

i grew up in the philippines and i believe our mailing system is not that good.

also everytime i send letters from the states to the philippines, most of them got lost.

thank you.

Good luck to us.

God Bless.

You know, I just realized, I've heard of consulates sending out packets via DHL... not NVC, sorry about the mixup.

Seems like regular mail can take a week or two from Manila. I think they put it on a ferry boat (a very slow ferry boat). :help:

I'm not from the phillipines, but I'm pretty sure the NVC sends things out via DHL :)

I think I read on one of the USCIS web sites that this is correct. They send in batches. with the volume in Manila I would imagine they do it at least a couple of times a month. Our petition was in the NVC for about two weeks before it was sent to Manila.

Good luck!

Actually I think the OP question was also about packages from the USE in Manila to spouse/fiance in the Philippines. Those are the ones that might get lost in the mail.

I asked Claudeth and she said she received the packet from the embassy via FedEx

They send it through DHL, but be sure to track them once in a while because if the delivery man dont know the exact address, it will take time for them and specially if the packet will be send to the provinces.
