Hi to all !!

Well finally I got the package from the Embassy in Peru.

My interview date will be January 4th,2007 7:30 AM ... I'm soooooo nervous !!! ...

The bad thing is that my fiance is not going be able to come for that date, so I'm going by myself. Because of that she is preparing all the documentation that she needs to send me ... the list we got is this:

  1. I-134
  2. letter from work indicating salary
  3. pay stubs
  4. tax return
  5. mutal fund printout
  6. auto loan info
  7. life insurance info
  8. bank acct info
  9. I-129 package
  10. NOA2 letter
  11. letter intent to marry
  12. "sworn declaration" that she will pay my life expenses

Please let me know if you notice something missing !! .. I'll appreciate it.

Now, we have two questions:

1.- The last item in the list is the "sworn declaration" that she will help me with my expenses living there so I'll no be a charge for the USA goverment.

I UNDERSTAND THIS AS A SIMPLE SIGNED LETTER FROM HER SAYING IT. It has to be checked by a Notary from USA ?

(Of course I'm not a lazy man !! but I know I'll not be able to work for some time)

2.- We are not sure if she has to send me some ORIGINALS like birth certificate and divorce statement. I don't think she has to send me her passport (original).

Someone can tell me which originals I'll need ?

Regards,

Martin

5. mutal fund printout

6. auto loan info

7. life insurance info

8. bank acct info

For a K-1? Are your sure? Is this for the I-134?

Anyway, in addition to all of that other stuff, you should also bring evidence of a continuing relationship: Photos, boarding passes, telephone bills, hotel reciepts, etc. Bring the originals with you to the interview.

Don't forget to tell us how it went. If you notice any other K-1's with a problem, that would be good information too. There is a small (but passionate) group of us Peruana-lovers that would like to know more about the interview process.

Thanks and best of luck!!!

Yes, this is a K-1 process. And I asked her the mutual funds, auto loan, life insurance information because the papers i have recived from the embassy they indicate they want proof that she can pay for your expenses. So those are more things to show.

Seems that everything is in order then ...

I'll let you know how was the interview ...

Thanks a lot, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
