These moves are going to end up at the Supreme Court and will probably knock down socialized health care forever. The more people he pisses off in trying to cover his @ss, the more likely this is to happen.

For now, the exchanges are going to lose a few more participants, rates will go higher. Less people will sign up. As we have already seen, the insurance companies are NOT going to take a loss for this. If this is forced on them, they WILL make a profit from it. The entire idea of Obamacare is impossible using private "for profit" insurers. IMpossible.

Here is what Forbes says on the issue

Obama has gone over to full fledged Banana Republic dictator and has nationalised the healthcare insurance industry by executive fiat, he is dictating not only waht people MUST but insurance to cover but mandating that insurers provide coverage without payment due to the Administrations own blunders. even if he later says he will subsidize insurers, there is nothing in the law that allows him or anyone else to do this.

I expect we will see him build a balcony on the White House so he can walk out on it and make his decrees!
