police certificate

please help when I receive my police certificate do I have to sign it before I mail it in to NVC

You suppose to sign it when you pick it up. You got two original copies one of them you keep for when you have your interview and also make a copy. One original you send in to NVC

These certificates last only 6 mths in Jamaica, send NVC original signed,

if interview date is not given B4 6 mths is up , U will need an updated

(new) one for interview

We didn't have to get a new one. They told us its good for a year. My husband got his report in Januaryand we didn't send our package to NVC like in June/July and his interview was in October.

Got mine recently and at the bottom it states CERTIFICATE VALID for 9MONTHS from the date of issue,

You are given only One certificate not Two so you have to copy and keep the copy. to take to the interview.

Guess they keep changing stuff around...I stand

corrected I never knew they gave 2 , thought just one.

I heard the prices went up so maybe it justifies getting 2

It was always 2 copies, I got mine in 2010...my hubby got his in 2013 and I am not seeing any expiry date on it..however he got his immigrant visa Nov 2013 so it is more than six months ..anyway things change has time goes by...you can email Kingston to confirm...all the best

you must signed both, you can send one and keep the other, should you send both when you go for your interview the Officer will return one back to you...
