Dear all my friends from VJ,

I have been joined this community since i applied for my CR1 visa.... I have been through many different feelings when I read different stories and experiences here from you guys.... But most of all, you guys gave me encouragements to fight for this love (lol) to go through the hardest time that being away from my husband. Sometimes I know some cases here got approved that make me worried because no news from my case and had no clue for how long we have to wait the news. But as stories from you guys here that I have shared with my husband to cheer each other up and to feel that there are many couples are waiting for visas like us that helped us a lot because we know we are not alone :)

We applied for my visa in April 13th and we had no news until Nov 15th we saw our case updated on the website that transferred to another office then another transferred to local office in Texas in Nov 18th... at these steps we were so happy that at least we got good news and also worried if they asked for any RFEs.... my husband has been checking the site every day. and he also planned to call USCIS this friday 13th to ask more information. This morning Dec 12th, he checked the site and nothing yet, then he checked it when he got home then he watched the movie " miracle on 34th street" (xmas movie) and he decided to check it one more time before went to bed and guess what , he was shocked that it changed to " Post Decision Activity" .... It was my morning time in Vietnam and I was at the hospital for eye check up, he said he couldn't wait for me to come online so he called me to tell me that the case got approved. I didnt know how to express my happiness at that moment but yes it was the best moment in my life and i cried :) And today is Friday 13th (my local time)

Our 1st marriage anniversary was Dec 3rd, and the case approved on Dec 12 so 12-03-12 and 12-12-13 .... nice numbers right ? I thank God and my Buddha for this lovely gift for my anniversary and also xmas gift :) I cant ask for more I know :) .... the next step ahead and we will have to prepare for it!

Once again, my dear friends in VJ even we never met but I'm thankful to you all and wish your cases get approved soon, don't close your faith. I will keep updating my case here also.

From Vietnam with love :)luv.gifdancin5hr.gif

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
