Did you get deny on B-1/B-2 visa application before? The CO might think you lied on your prior B-1/B-2 application. Some people got denied their K-1 visas because of that.

I'm going to make a suggestion I often make when I see a post like this:

- Tell your fiance everything that happened at the interview

- send him the 221G form (did the Embassy give you anything in writing?)

- send him the link to Visa Journey

- have him create an account on here and post about your interview experience, make sure he attaches the 221G form but blurs out the name details

Why do I say this? Because your writing skills make it hard to decipher what exactly happened. Unless we're given a lot of details, it's hard to give useful advice.

From what I gather, the CO who interviewed you wasn't impressed with your evidence and your previous tourist visa denials hurt your case. That would only be true if you lied on those applications. You knew your fiance since 2009. When you applied for the visas did you mention you'd be visiting your fiance? Did you tell the Embassy you were in a relationship/engaged? Did you pay someone to "help you" (I don't know how someone helps with a tourist visa application) with those applications? There's a lot of holes in your story. Your fiance is free to try to contact the visa unit at the Embassy that interviewed you or appeal to his Congressman/Senator's office to inquire on his behalf, but he may not get any more information than you. They told you to return home and wait, and that's probably all you can do. Hope that in the course of the investigation the Consular staff doesn't determine you misrepresented yourself. Then your fiance better start considering moving to Gambia.
