You cant work before EAD. No good employer will hire you without EAD anyway unless they will give you less than the minimum wage and no benefits whatsoever. Good luck explaining that to USCIS. Please tell your fiancee to read USCIS website before giving you an advice that can result in your deportation.

The above advice is correct and true...the only way that a receipt would be sufficient is if you were renewing your EAD. In this case you cannot work until you have received your EAD and can present it in person. If you do not as stated above you could get deported and the business could get a hefty fine.

You need the EAD card in order to legally work. Applying for the EAD does not make you work authorized.

Contact your local USCIS office and make an appointment for an expedited EAD.

Opps. You're getting marry on Dec. 22nd.

You can request the expedited EAD AFTER you get marry and file for AOS. You cannot request an expedited EAD based on marriage and AOS if you haven't marry and file for AOS.

It is ILLEGAL to work wiithout your EAD. Based on all the threads you have started if I were you I'd go back to where I came from and start all over again. Your story has changed so many times and you are simply searching for a loophole that doesn't exist.
