Hello all,

I was just wondering why this thread was locked out today. I apologize to any of the moderators if I breached any violations,... if I did BREACH ANY VIOLATION. However, I was just merely answering the OP for that thread and giving him/her some guidance.

RadzNSteve charles!

For these two members, I believe their answers were incorrect on the thread. I was merely correcting them with the correct answer. Thus, a few hours later, I was locked out.

"Negative. The Army National Guard is not considered Active Duty. They are only considered Active Duty when they get activated (mobilized for deployment).

Deployment can range from humanitarian aid, relief and or combat purposes.

In accordance with:

AR 135-200, Active Duty for Missions, Projects, and Training Reserve Component Soldiers, 30 July 1999.

AR 135-210, Order to Active Duty as Individuals Other Than a Presidential Selected Reserve Call-up, Partial or Full Mobilization, 18 October 1999."

Edit: Just checked the thread. It's been locked because it was last posted in 2008. However, it was extremely bad form of the moderator in question (whoever it was though I think I have an inkling) to a) Delete your post and b) Not make a post saying WHY the thread was locked.

That said? I'd feel free to create a thread here regarding the National Guard and what effect serving them may or may not have on immigration benefits.
