Report of Birth before Report of Marriage?

We have not filed a report of marriage. But we want to go ahead and file a report of birth for our children. Do we have to file the report of marriage first? Eventually we will but moneys kinda tight so were gonna choose which one to do first.

it costs $25 to do the report of marriage, and $25 to do the report of birth .... neither is a big rush.

I have seen and read all that before, It doesnt answer my question. Will they except and process a report of birth from a married couple that has not filed a report of marriage. Im going to call the consulate and the embassy i know each place requires different stuff. And since my children are born in two different jursidictions, i have one in san francisco and the other in washington.

Seriously? Everything required IS listed .... Ok here is a copy paste for you.

It is as simple as 1-2-3-4 ..... then get a money order.

If that doesn't answer your question, contact the consulate serving the area where you live.... not where the children were born.

Procedures and Requirements 1. Four (4) original duly accomplished Report of Birth Form (download Form No. 40) should be executed by at least one of the parents or the attending physician or nurse. When the birth is reported in person, the Report of Birth will be sworn to before a consular officer. If the Report is sent through mail, the Report of Birth Form must be notarized.

2. The original copy of the child's Certificate of Birth issued by local health authorities or by the local County Registrar must be presented. The Birth Certificate should also be reproduced in quadruplicate (four copies).

3. A copy of the Philippine passport(s) of Filipino parent(s) must be submitted, also reproduced in quadruplicate (four copies), in order to determine Filipino citizenship. 4. A copy of the marriage license or marriage certificate of parents, reproduced in quadruplicate (four copies). 5. The fee for this service is $25.00 in cash, postal money order or cashier's check payable to the Philippine Consulate General. Personal checks, personal money orders. ATM and credit cards are not accepted as mode of payments. Do not send payment in cash when reporting by mail. An additional fee of $6.00 is required if the Report will be returned by mail.

Maybe you misunderstood my question. I have read all the requirements and completly understand them. It does not say anything regarding the ability to file a report of birth prior to filing a report of marriage. I appreciate you attempt in getting me information that i already know. But it doesnt answer the original question. You are correct and everything required is listed...but i am not asking about the requirements i knew them prior to posting. Ill try to rephrase my question again...

The philippines does not recognize a marriage until it is filed using the report of marriage...IF said report of marriage has not yet been filed, and we attempt to file a report of birth, AS a married couple, will it cause any issues if the report of marriage has yet to be filed.....Im passed getting an answer but i just want to make sure the original question is understood, i am not asking for requirements...

That is what i have done. Also, if anyone else is following this, It is not the Consulate in your area. It HAS to be the Consulate with jurisdiction in the area the event took place.
