Phew, I can breath again now!!! The surgeon was pleased with the operation and is also pleased with Wyatt's recovery rate. He looked so unlike him when I saw him, but the main thing is that the op is over and done with!!!!

They said that he would have probably been got out of bed yesterday but because he had to have the extra pump in his heart he is really a day behind in recovery terms.

Today, he will be geting moved from the intensive care unit into the high dependancy unit, which is good news!

I can not praise the nurses who work there in the intensive care, they are all so wonderful and each patient is alloted 2 nurses iin his unit - no way was he ever left alone or had an eye taken off him. Makes you feel much better knowing his slightess move is seen.

Thank you all again for your wishes and support - it meant such a lot to me.

I hope you all have a wonderful christmas and a great New Year!!!

Sending a Get Well Soon!!!! Hope he has a speedy recovery!!!!!! Glad he is getting great care, I had an experience with my mom being in the hospital recovering from major surgery a couple of years ago and she was not getting great care and I rember being very upset about it.... certainly does help you in the recovery process to know this.

That is excellent news, Pauline.....will keep you and Wyatt in my prayers for a speedy recovery and for you to remain strong during this most difficult time. Recoveries are most certainly hard on the patients...but seldom do we realize how hard they are on the primary caregivers. Don't forget to take care of yourself!

Claudeth and I were happy to read your post and thankful that things are progressing in a positive direction. We will pray for Wyatt's full recovery and wish you both a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
