Hi,

I'm currently filling out N-400 application for my wife to become citizen. I am currently stuck in this section. My wife had entered illegally and was detain in Florida. She was let go and given a court appearance date. She filed for asylum, but was denied and was ordered to deportation, but she did not leave. 7-8 years later.. we met and got married, and we filed for adjustment of status and was approved for Green Card. The Removal court was expunged.

Since she's been in US. She has done no wrong , no prior arrest, conviction or not even traffic ticket. My question is when filing out the Good Moral Character section.

10-D

16) Have you ever been arrested, cited or detained by any Law enforcement officer (including USCIS)?

i would marked this as a YES

Why were you arrested, cited, detained, or charged.

Illegal entry to US

10-E

27) Have you ever been ordered to be removed, excluded, or deported from the US?

I would marked this as a YES

28) Have you ever applied for any kind of relief from removal, exclusion or deportation?

I would marked this as a YES

Am I doing this correct? Is there another word I can use instead for the reason arrested. I feel Illegal entry to US sounds pretty bad.

Thanks in advance for your advice.
