They who have gone before me have said it and I will say it again: the I-129F is NOT what you need. It is for the K1 fiance visa. Go here to figure out what you need: http://www.visajourney.com/content/compare#ircr1 you need to read what applies to you.

Try to read up on the K3 visa. The I-129f is required to attempt to be on that visa path.

Once you file I-129F (for K3), the application gets paired with your I-130 and both will be processed at the same time on teh I-130 timeline.

So, basically I-129F for K3 is useless. I'm on the same boat.

you should still get your I-129F NOA1, but it is almost useless.

The fact that your I-130 case was transferred to Nebraska already, it may be processes faster than most of us that filed earlier.

Good luck

Good Afternoon VJ Fly:

I/We have a question that really needs answering on both me and my husbands behalf. The I-130 was filed and recieved in November; our NOA 1 was recieved.

Do we need to file the I-129F?

I know that it is affiliated with the I-130, but I was also told that it can also delay your I-130 if it is not approved prior.

No you do not need to file the I-129f.
