You're not the only ones getting fast approval. I just got an email this evening saying our I-129F application (fiancee visa) was approved. It's only been 21 days since the USCIS received our application. This seems impossible, but if it's true I am totally thrilled! Hopefully I will receive the official notice in the mail in the next couple of days.

Thank you all so much!!! I know that I'll be receiving a lot of responses, but this is still kinda overwhelming. For those who are still waiting, I totally understand your frustrations, and if I were in your shoes, I'd be really disappointed too. But as a member of VJ, I decided to post this update on our case, so you'd also know that cases like these can get approved this fast too, as well as to contribute to the timeline. We had the biggest scare of our lives with what happened to us; our town never really gets that much action, calamity-wise, so to learn that the super typhoon of the world was coming to hit us, was just really, really scary. Though Tacloban city had the biggest no. of casualties, we had the biggest damage in properties and livelihood, and until now, help is pouring in from different countries to help us rebuild our lives and get things back to normal again. I appreciate all of your well wishes and your understanding as to why ours got approved this fast. Thank you all! ^_____^

Yeah, it's crazy. Seems like a few people on here are in the same box as me and have been waiting just as long or longer. I'm hoping that we'll be able to finish this before my birthday in July at this point.

Agreed. I can understand the Philippino expedites, but the blazingly fast processing time of fiance visas is something I'll never understand and an issue that drives me up a wall. It's totally unfair to the rest of us CR/IR-1s and makes no sense to me. So dumb. And all these people keep talking about the pendulum swinging the other way and I-130s being the ones that will be processed quickly soon, but I don't see that happening at all. I think USCIS is perfectly content with not processing I-130s in a timely manner at all and simply doesn't care about us married couples. Really is quite sad if you think about it....

Congrats you two !

I would like to say that not all Philippines has been pushed along ahead of everyone else. Some of us wait the long, long wait as well.I am a mid May filer, transferred Nov. 20th and now we wait some more. No one will ever be able to convince me any of this is necessary. Maybe the ultimate goal is to see how many marriages they can stress out to the point of breaking? I don't doubt anything from this government anymore.

Virtuous45,

Are you kidding me? The "reason" some people get expedited is because they deserve it. Marie comes from a place in the Philippines that has been devastated by a super typhoon. Thousands are dead and tens of thousands are homeless. I think Marie deserves a little compassion in her case. It doesn't bother me that she is getting expedited. I hope she gets to be with her husband very soon.

Marie and Curt,

Don't let anyone that is posting this jealous talk upset you. You deserve a break.

God Bless you Marie and Curt. I wish you only the best.

Merry Christmas!!

Wow David&Zoila, did you read my post in the spirit it was sent?? I guess not.

I am in no way jealous of her and her husband because I don't yet have a case...so jealousy is not. By all means, they (and every one else who experienced any form of disaster) deserve to be expedited. You would have noticed that I did say I wasn't singling her case out. My argument is that USCIS and NVC can really do better overall without having to be prodded and shoved by expedition requests.
