Hello everyone,

My husband had his interview in March and they took his passport, got fingeprinted and paid DHL fee. I sent an email to the Embassy to check status and they responded saything that they will mail a letter with the status?????????? What could that mean??? Could it be a denial letter???? Someone please help me understand............so nervous!!!

Unfortunately, you will have to wait until they send him the letter. Did the Embassy say that they sent it already or not yet?

With the US Embassy in Cairo, it is difficult to predict what the letter could be. I really hope that it is not a denial letter.

I called DOS just now and they said it is a letter about his TB and medical exam??? They then asked when do we plan on traveling to the US? If we travel before March he will need to renew his TB if it is after March it will be the whole medical exam.. So what are we supposed to do if we dont know when the visa will come?? March is only like 3 months away??

That's great news. A friend of mine was in the same situation and her fiance did the TB test only.

I would recommend doing the same.
