Hi All,

I can not believe that the only service centre processing petitions late is VSC and even the national US average processing time is 5.4 month. What is happening to these people in that service centre are they out of their mind or they have stopped processing petitions. I checked TSC three or four month ago and they were processing i-130 petitions late however, I have checked it now and it says they are processing it within five month time. I am really mad and annoyed for us who is stuck with VSC. Can anyone please recommend anything we should do to get this lazy a** people start processing our petition. It is really ridiculous and out of order.

nothing you can do...just sit tight and when it all becomes too much, come to VJ and vent to people who understand :).

I hold on the belief that no matter how fast the other centers are moving, PDs trump everything. The only difference between us and F2As in the other centers is that once we get our NOA2 we will be so very close to our PD's that we wont have much time to get all the paper work/meds/clearance etc...in order to get a CC at NVC.

My husband and I are using this time to try and get everything in order so we will be ready.

Take heart in knowing that our time between NOA2 and CC/IL will not be long :)

Hi Sabi,

Thank you for your support and I guess you are right even though people in the other centres have got their approvals they are stuck with NVC process as their PD date is not current. In regards to the paper work that needs to be done I was told by our lawyer there is not point to prepare the other documents as they might go out of date by the time we got our approval and start the NVC process so she basically told us to wait. I was going to send the form to get the police certificate but she told me to wait until she instructs me further but in terms of other documents I do not have any other clue what we should organise. If you please don't mind can you tell me the documents that we have to prepare so that when we start the NVC process we have everything prepared. P.S our lawyer is so useless whenever we ask a question she is always giving us an answer that we can do it ourselves rather than do it for us and I do not know why we paid her money. Can I also ask if you are the beneficiary or petitioner and if are you in the UK or not ?

Thanks a lot I feel much better after reading your comment.

All I see now is as the DOS moves the PD the VSC will start processing on hold petitions. They updated this months dates on first week of July and just after Charles oppenheim predicted the movement on July 15 of this month, they again updated to July 17, so I think sumthg is going on with VSC. They r also monitoring the VB and according should move ahead ..... Let's now wait for Sep VB and then after the service center processing dates.

Hi Habel - I am the petitioner living in the US, hubby is the beneficiary living in the UK. (although right now he is here visiting :) ).

It's true you cannot do the police cert until you are closer but you can work on other things. You can work on the medicals...make sure your spouse has everything that will be needed through nhs rather than knightsbridge because its cheaper in the long run. This NOA2 waiting time, give you breathing room to schedule all the needed vaccinations. You cant get varicella in the UK, so hubby is going to get it done while he is here.....

But the main thing you should work on is the financial part for the affidavit of support. You can prepare the I-864 now because it takes a minute as you need to go through your tax info and bank accounts. Depending on the complexities of your financials you will need supporting docs. Of course, if you have to complete or amend any of the past 3 years tax returns, this is the time to do it. Or if you need a co-sponsor, you can take this time to work on that too and to vet out people. since you have an attorney, make sure she takes the time to review what you have done thoroughly.

make sure of course that you also have the beneficiary's long version birth cert....and certified/original marriage license..etc...

these are all the things we are doing so that we will be better prepared since our PD isn't until Dec 2013 (of course if hubby had listened to me we would have had a March 2013 PD....but that's another story!)

hope that helps...and best of luck to you and your family.
