That is really the normal processing times for USC. It just got delayed due to many applications filed so the uscis catch up and prioritize working with the USC coz they don't have limited visa. On the otherhand, LPR cases decreased lastyear plus the VB went current so they approved cases of LPR faster. Now, since the VB was stuck to sept. 8 and almost all PD with the current VB are all approved they have to slower approving cases because the visa for LPR is limited. And always remember, USC is always on top priority than LPR.

what is clear to me is that VSC isn't pressed to work on our cases because they know that the VB isn't going anywhere for some time. its crazy how efficient California is - they are approving people with PD in feb/march 2014!!! just crazy...and we are still waiting for september approvals in Vermont!

well the only silver lining in all of this is that PD is PD.....even if your I-130 is approved first! first in is still first out!

May Visa Bulletin is out!!

At the current rate, such demand will require a retrogression of the F2A cut-off date within the next several months. That action would be necessary to hold number use within the annual numerical limit.

Seems we will hit by Retro!!

WORLDWIDE F2A:

From early 2013 through September 2013, the level of demand for numbers in this preference category was extremely low. As a result, the F2A cut-off date was advanced at a very rapid pace, in an attempt to generate demand so that the annual numerical limit could be fully utilized. As readers of the Visa Bulletin were advised during that time, such cut-off date advances were not expected to continue, and at some point they could stop, or retrogression might be required.

The level of demand being experienced for FY-2014 has resulted in the Worldwide F2A cut-off date being held since October. Despite no forward movement of the cut-off date, the level of demand has continued to increase dramatically. At the current rate, such demand will require a retrogression of the F2A cut-off date within the next several months. That action would be necessary to hold number use within the annual numerical limit.

DanDaniel - I agree.

its very hard to predict these things but my husband and I were already anticipating that the reality would be that our PD would become current in early-mid 2015. But it could be that we would have to wait to October 2015.

its clear that if the VB is going to retrogress, then those that have current PD will end up taking a big chunk out of the new fiscal year visa allocations. So how many will be left for those of us whose PD falls after September 8, 2013? (Hopefully there will be at least one available for Shadowflex whose PD is September 9!!).

The other unknown is how many LPR will become USC and so their cases will be upgraded to IR/CR.
