So I emailed Montreal embassy and they say that our petition was received and paperwork was sent out on Nov. 29th...why haven't we gotten it?? Like so much time is being wasted. He could have had it sent back by now but instead we haven't even received it. At this point i'm really getting mad....trying not to be but it's really not working. I wish this was over with. I want to scream.

If they say it was sent out on the 29th, it means someone ordered it to be sent out on the 29th, it might not have been printed for a few days, and then not mailed out for a few days after that. This happened to me, and when I finally got the package, I saw that the later was dated a few days after they told me it was mailed out, and it was post marked a few days after that. Took two weeks I think for me to get it. You can always ask them to send another one if you're worried it got lost.

Ok, that sounds better. I took it to mean it was MAILED on the 29th. Things can get to Austrailia from Canada faster than in 2 weeks, so it sounded wrong.

Hopefully, you will get your info soon and once the holidays are over, things will move quickly.

I would personally see if you can get them to send you a new one.. when I sent my checklist in way back when I was still on K-1 phase, I called a little while later to see if they had scheduled me for an interview and it turned out they had never gotten my checklist at all! Canada post does lose things on occasion..

You'd think if they tell you it was sent out on the 29th it means they actually mailed it, but the Montreal consulate is wonky like that. :) I think it's probably just a miscommunication/misunderstanding on the consulates end; the people who answer the phone look up your file, see that a package was generated and assume it was sent out that day when that may or may not be true. I had them send the package again since it was taking so long I thought it was lost. That one came a little faster, but it was the same thing: the letter was dated after I was told they'd sent it, and the envelope was dated after that.
