After Visa "Issued" CEAC Question

Ok, so I am curious -- once your visa status goes to "Issued" and that date is posted as updated on the CEAC site, did anyone notice if the site updated again subequently with a new date? (I.e., perhaps when the Embassy handed off the courier package a new date was listed as the most recent update?) Thanks!

I don't think so. I don't recall getting updates past "Issued" (in terms of further touch dates).

Sometimes it goes back to "Ready" randomly, but I think that's a bug.

CEAC is only partially useful in knowing what's going on. smile.png

No it does not. The date that it is issued that will be your final date. There is no need to change the date. Courier service will email you about when you can pick up the visa.

Mine went issued, then stayed there, next thing was e mail with courier tracking number on it.

How long after it changed to issued did you receive the tracking number? Is it from the embassy or courier?

ya, for us, the updated date got updated several times after issued.

My take on it ? Visa packet preparation, casefile movement into the mailroom and finally, casefile pickup by the courier.

Visa Packet Prep ain't instant - requires some time, human overview, and there's a queue.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

In my case it was interview Monday, e mail thursday, passport back friday, this was end sept and things seem to have slowed since then.

email came from donotreply@usvisa-info or similar. Signed by the "Yatri info" or something like that. Not sure who they are exactly. Same people i got a mail from after paying visa fee and courier home delivery people.

Thanks for the info. Today we checked our case and thankfully we've been assigned a tracking number good.gifkicking.gif so grateful things are starting to wrap up for us. Never thought this initial visa process would take this long lol. Oh well tongue_ss.gif

You've been assigned a tracking number? How did you find this out?

Well we checked the visa info website and found out about the tracking details. It's the same site you should have used to pay the visa fee.

Their web address is: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv

My fiance logged in and he can't find anything on tracking numbers. :(
