High Risk Countries! Submission of more Relationship Evidence at NVC stage!!!

There are many people from high risk countries who have sent additional supporting evidence to the NVC, especially Nigeria. Dwheels, who knows everything there is to know about Nigeria was one of those people. In many cases Nigeria doesn't allow couples to present additional evidence at the interview stage, but instead hand out a 221g requesting more evidence when they believe there isn't enough. In fact sometimes they just give a straight denial and don't even bother asking.. There is nothing wrong with sending more evidence to the NVC if you don't think enough was sent at the USCIS stage, in fact for Nigeria many people recommend it.

But for all her efforts she was still dealing with a 2 timing cheat that was using her for a green card. No matter how well you think you know Nigerians beware.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Not sure if this applies to me, the beneficiary is a British-Nigerian that have been living in UK for over 9 years with the parent and will have interview at the Embassy in London. During the USCIS stage I only sent few pictures and wrote our wedding website on top of the picture for more. I sent our phone record since 2008. Beneficiary have visited me in US for more than 10 times since 2009.

But during NVC period I didn't send any other information or pictures. Could that be a problem? I asked this because even though beneficiary lives in UK and a citizen of UK and Nigeria, Foreign State Changeability is still considered Nigeria by NVC

How does sending photos of your relationship result in a Case complete from NVC? I understand these photos or evidence of bona fide relationship (other than marriage certificate) will be required at the Interview. Nowhere does it mention on the DOS website that you need to send evidence proof of your relationship (other than your marriage certificate) to NVC as part of your IV doc package.

If i were you, i would stick to what NVC wants to verify from their DOS page and keep the Photos and other documentary evidence etc for the Interview.

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html

BTW, we did not send any photos or other supporting evidence to prove that our relationship is bona fide for NVC. Marriage certificate (Original and a copy) is all we sent to NVC to show that we are married. :-)

Has nothing to do with getting a Case Complete. It's all about getting more evidence into your casefile. This evidence submitting is called side-loading.

The whole point is to get evidence into the hands of CO BEFORE the interview. As many have stated some go to interview with truck load of evidence because well you read and read here you listen to lawyers they all say "take your evidence to embassy" well some never get a chance. I have a list of people ai know denied and they had the evidence right in their possession to refute what the CO was denying.

I have only known of one case where evidence was submitted at NVC and it was part of their NOIR that they submitted evidence that was considered suspect and the CO felt they were trying to sneak it by USCIS.

NVC is only a document gathering office no more. I have even talked with 2 supervisors at NVC who advised me if I am sending extra evidence that also resend my original evidence because they don't always get it all. How I know they said they had 30 pages of my oetition. I submitted 210 pages. So with my extra I submitted the original. Doesn't hurt to be thorough and safe.

Ok in this regard should I be sending my only original marriage certificate? I sent a copy with the I-130 along with other supporting documentation. I want to send in everything (including the kitchen sink) to the NVC but I am really uneasy about sending in my original marriage certificate since I only have the one copy that we received from the wedding registry in Lagos.

Nigeria is hard as hell in their interviews so I feel by sending in any additional docs to NVC kills 2 birds with one stone....the case looks solid by the time Lagos receives it and it's a hell of a lot cheap to send documentation within the states than it is to send it to Lagos.

Also can someone point me in the direction of where I can find the regional forums? I would like to read up luv.gif

Actually a case that is too think looks like a pile a ####### to hide the truth to the CO's in Nigeria. Pounds of phone records are created to look legit along with a lot of the other expert advise here that has turned into the scammers to do list. Haven't you noticed the increase of Nigerian beneficaries that are the ones bird dogging the petition. Because the scammers are here learning and building the biggest and best petitions Lagos has ever seen and Lagos is catching on quickly. Pounds of photos and phone calls and chat logs points to a well read yahoo boy waiting for a green card.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Well the original marriage certificate you have to send to NVC. Or get a certified copy from registry. One or the other no photocopies will be acceped. Every document at NVC has to be original or certified copy of original. You will get back at interview.

As mentioned before long as you are just submitting more of the same. Adding another trip that happened between sumission of I-130 and NVC. Adding more chats and stuff.

**For regional forums go to top of page click on portal. You should already be in the Nigerian one and you can add other countried. Really read the Interview reviews a must for anyone interview. Some have helpful tips.

Just for extra measure write up a nice relationship timeline to really highlight all those visits. The CO can look at a glance what has gone on in the relationship.

Since he is in UK. Have you gone to Nigeria and meet his family and he has meet yours and your friends. Thats what is really inportant.

Yes. she met my parents, stayed for a week with them, I met her parent and i've seen her mom more than 5 times. We actually went back to Nigeria for our wedding so both parent were also present. Also before she became a British citizen, she applied for a visiting Visa and used me as sponsor , she was given 2 years visiting visa then.

I don't think Debbie ever claimed to know Nigerians per see. She understands the immigration process fron A to B as it pertains to USEL.

During my process, her many posts and private messages was a guiding light. I got emails, correspondences when she estimated that I would get them.

Not absolute.

I had pounds of pjhone calls and photos and I asure you that we're not Yahoo Yahoo.

I linked a forum post by who I believe to be the section Chief at USEL. She said while they roll their eyes whenever they see this large petitions but the interview without prejudice. She also admitted that it could understandably be a couple who has a long relationship and this has more evidence.

One has to be able to stand by the evidence submitted and I would still ask for others to submit quality petitions but be ready to talk decisively about every single page.

We got every single original document back on the date of the interview.

I like reading this, it shows a bona fide relationship.

Thank you dwheels!! I will check it out and I am sure I will have more questions so please let me apologize in advance if I seem dense at times I promise I'm really not. We had our original I-129 K1 visa denied the first go round so this is gut wrenching and we just want to get it right. dancin5hr.gif

My point was that Debbie knows the in and outs of the process through Nigeria. This comment was totally uncalled for. Even with what Debbie has been through in her personal life she still finds the time to help each an every person on this forum who reaches out for help, and always with dignity and grace.

And what you don't see is the list of people that use the templates to get their scamming spouses here and then get dumped. Believe me the percentage of successful marriages from high fraud countries is not going up but the number of people that are used for a green card is. So what happens is people are helped to lose thousands of dollars and years of their life. If someone doesn't have enough of a bonafide relationship to get through Lagos without the scammers template posted here they probably shouldn't be getting a visa.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
