Hi! Any one else pending RFE response from VSC? Or can provide insight on their response time? Our response to our I-751 RFE was received by VSC on 10/30. It's been 6 weeks now and we still haven't heard anything.

Hi!

I am still waiting for my RFE responded to by VSC - I responded on 9/21/13 and they rec'd it on 9/26/13. Yup, you saw that right. 2 months and 18 days later - I am still waiting LOL. NCSC did submit a service request for me on 11/21/13 and I am still waiting for something - interview, more evidence, approval, whatever - I don't care, just give me something so I know they have "touched" it lol. My online status update is still showing the August update when I changed my address - didn't even log my RFE status.

Unfortunately it is hard to say what the time frame is. I know a few April 2013 filers who submitted in early to mid-October to VSC have gotten responses within a month. Some CSC filer folks were lucky enough to get responses within 2 weeks!

So yea, the only thing I can do now is wait and then hound them when the waiting period is up.

But with that said, there will also be some here that will tell you that you really do have up to a year for your case to be reviewed and responded to so at the end of the day it's just a matter of who reviewed your case, what they think of your case and wait.

Personally I'm just an impatient person and do not like to find out other people who submitted anything after me are getting responded to. But that's just me :P

6/11/13 - Biometrics done

8/14/13 - Rec'd RFE

9/21/13 - Submitted RFE response

9/23/13 - RFE response rec'd at VSC

(about 2 months later)

11/21/13 - Service request via Tier 1 submitted

12/11/13 - Response to service request rec'd - vague info about processing times

12/12/13 - Service request via Tier 2 submitted

12/10/13 - APPROVED!!! (letter rec'd 12/14/13)

12/16/13 - 2nd Service request response rec'd

12/17/13 - Card production email/text rec'd (online case updated)!

12/24/13 - Notification rec'd via email regarding card mailed on 12/23/13 (online case updated as well)

12/26/13 - 10-yr card rec'd!

One thing I have learned on this journey:

There is no such thing as an "overkill" evidence package. Submit anything and everything you can. Who knows what will prevent you from getting an RFE.

Lol, I'm with you about being impatient! :) It's been 6 weeks and it feels like forever! I wish we were in the 2 week response group. With the holidays coming, I hope this doesn't delay them even more. Oh and our online status update is still showing initial review, which hasn't changed since May. So it didn't log our RFE status either. Thankfully we sent it certified with return receipt to show that they actually did receive it.

I can't believe you have been waiting for so long. I really hope that you hear something very soon!

I just hope that I won't fall into the "1 year later and still waiting" group. That will be excruciatingly painful LOL.

Maybe we have the same person reviewing our case. Maybe when mine or yours get responded to the other would too LOL

Lol...I definitely hope we won't fall into that group either. I'll keep my fingers crossed that we'll both hear something positive soon!

Never received my email/text update. And according to the online case update it is still stuck on 8/8/13 LOL.

I only found out through the letter in the mail. It was dated 12/10 and I rec'd it on 12/14. In between that I also rec'd the service request response letter on 12/11. So that call I made on 12/12 wasn't necessary - but I wouldn't have known would I? lol

I hope yours is just around the corner :)
