USCIS sending confusing RFE messages

USCIS is playing with us.

First, On Dec. 4, 2013 they stated on the message the RFE hard copy was sent. We waited until today no mail from them. Then yesterday noon my husband received an email from them saying like this;

First update: Alien Registration Number was changed

Third update: Post Decision Activity, it was approved

Our RFE is my divorce decree translation which my husband gave to them already. But they ddn't do anything before. They send all my documents as I gave it to them. They should have known that they should be translated. Our attorney said it would take 2 days for it to be translated. But anyways we are relieved that we know what they need from us. Mu husband will travel again here this week. Hope they would not ask anything anymore. Have a good day/evening. And good luck to all of u.

my husband checked his mailbox last night, no mail frm USIS still. But our lawyer received it already, we do not know why our lawyer ddn't scan it and email it to us. but anyway, he sent us email what uscis needs.

Hello Rose and Mike, I am in a similar situation as your's. We sent back the RFE and our case status changed to RFE review on February 26. I was wondering how long before a decision and saw that it took you 10 days but that being Christmas and New Year time things could have been delayed for you.

Can you please elaborate as to what you exactly they were looking for in terms of "marriage certificate & Copy of marriage record & its translation"? Didn't you send a copy of marriage certificate in English?

According to our marriage customs, the priest conducts the marriage in presence of two witnesses and asks the groom whether he agrees to the marriage and then takes the groom's, witnesses' and bride's guardian's signature, addresses, etc. on the marriage record. Then, either the priest goes to the bride in the ladies section or the bride's guardian does and asks the bride if she agrees to be married for a dower of certain sum. Then the bride's signature is taken in the marriage record booklet. The marriage record has every detail about the marriage including the priest's details, venue of marriage, time, etc. A marriage certificate is an official document from the issuing body which summarily lists the information in the marriage booklet. For our petition, we did send the copy of marriage certificate in English but not the marriage record; now we got RFE asking for ORIGINAL marriage certificate and marriage record booklet copy and it's translation.
