Is Embassy E-Mail Re Release To Courier Standard?

I saw one person posted that they received an e-mail from the Embassy saying their visa had been released to the courier, and providing a tracking number. Is this what the Embassy always does now, or is that just an old practice? Our visa is "issued," but still waiting to show at courier and I am wondering if we need to get an e-mail first. Thanks!

I think the email comes from the courier once the visa is handed over.

You might want to browse this thread with a lot of courier talk. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/447661-recent-interviewees-do-you-have-your-passport-yet/

Mine was from 'The Yatri Visa Appointment and Information Service Team' donotreply@usvisa-info.com, which is the same address that they use to email you the receipt once you pay the interview fee. I'm not really sure if they're the embassy or the courier or someone else.

I would try to get a tracking number from the embassy. They must have one, this can't be the first time this has happened. I hope it all get sorted out for you soon. What a hassle, just when you thought it was finished!

My email came from the Embassy, not the courier company. It was also from ''The Yatri Visa Appointment and Information Service Team' donotreply@usvisa-info.com' tell me that my passport has been released to the Courier. It contained a tracking number.
