I got this email from the consulate today after emailing them last Monday. I asked if they had received our packet, which was sent on November 13, and what the time frame was for processing. Here's the email:

Good day,

Thank you for your email.

We are pleased to acknowledge receipt of the documents.

We regret to inform you that the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal is currently experiencing a huge volume of documents to process. We are doing our best to process it as fast as possible.

Your case will be reviewed shortly and the Consular Officer will advise you of the results.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I hope that this information is useful.

There's hope on the (eventual) horizon! :)

I'll take any news at this point...thanks so much for keeping us updated. Our acknowledged p3s and p4 emails should happen very soon then. Hang in there Shelby, you're doing great!

Good news, either my pestering has paid off or by sheer co-incidence I just got my packet 4 email. YAY! It's a personalized email from the consulate that you must print off and bring with you to the Doctor's appointment. The instructions for me aren't any different than the pdf they already have online. Going to see if I can make an appointment now.

I just called DOS. They said he's eligible to schedule an interview, but they have not sent out packet 4? I'm confused haha. Maybe we're a day or two behind

DOS just says that because the case is at the embassy. You have to wait til you receive packet 4 to schedule an interview :(

11/09/2016 - i-751 sent

11/14/2016 - NOA1

12/08/2016 - Biometrics

06/04/2018 - i-751 approved

Booooo. I called again before I saw this because I was confused, and it was confirmed that they received P3, but P4 hasn't been sent out yet. We sent in our packet right about the same time as FloridaCanuck/waiting, so I'm just anxious now.

Hey guys, I'm at work so not a lot of time to respond. I sent in my packet 3 on November 19. I'd imagine they would start rolling out now for most. When you make an account just follow the instructions. Select the option for immigrant visa and your particular type of visa. Do not select non- immigrant. Make sure you print everything. Appointment confirmation, receipts, everything.
