The Consulate and Embassy are moving together to a new location in Santo Domingo (On Colombia Ave in the Altos de Arroyo Hondo area). The expected completion date is Feb 2014. I haven't heard anything recently to confirm this, but I'm sure it will be announced publicly soon when it will "officially" be open for business and begin servicing visa interviewees. Until then just prepare as normal.

Are there any hotels in the Altos de Arroyo Hondo are that you are aware of?

The only one that I know of is MicroHotel suites & condos. They have pretty good reviews on Trip Advisor. I'm not sure of the cost though. The former hotels will definitely miss the money from all of the visa applicants. This new location is definitely be great business for hotels/motels/resturants/transportation businesses once the new Embassy opens.

K1 Visa Process -> 12/09-06/10 Married -> 09/10/10 AOS Process -> 09/10-12/10 Removal of Conditions-> 09/12-07/13

U.S. Naturalization -> 7/8/20
