So you haven't filed yet and will be filing I-130. You need the G325A filed out by him and a passport pic.

What forms can I print out now to take with me on my trip that I can have my future husband sign now?

Newlove13, our cases are very similar. My husband will be filing in January and I will be visiting him then. I plan to print off and carry the G325A form and take with me, along with multiple copies of data page of my Passport and Birth Certificate, as well as one original of our Marriage Certificate (and colour copies as well). I also will be taking a a lot of blank forms to ensure we practice filling them out on paper before doing it on the computer...better to get it right now than to get a RFE.

I would also recommend you take all the documents he will need to have later, so you won't have to Fed-Ex them to him. Read the Guides provided here...they are very helpful in understanding what to do.

April 7, 2014: Packaged received by USCIS

April 8, 2014: Received NOA 1

Sept. 17, 2014: Received NOA 2. Case APPROVED with no RFEs

Oct. 17, 2014: Case # Assigned by NVC (Same day case was received, according to Julian # calculation)

Oct. 21, 2014: Received letter from NVC

Oct. 22, 2014: DS-261 completed and submitted to NVC

Oct. 31, 2014: Paid AOS invoice


Dec 08, 2014: Sent in IV & AoS packages

Dec 11, 2014: Package received by NVC

Dec 12, 2014: Received email from NVC acknowledging receipt. I assume this is our scan date

Dec 25, 2014: Paid IV bill

Dec 29, 2014: Funds deducted from bank account. DS-260 became available, and was completed

Dec 30, 2014: Submitted DS-260

Feb. 12, 2015: Case Complete with NO checklist! whoot, whoot!

Mar. 25, 2015: Received P4. Interview

April 29,2015: Completed medical examination

May 13, 2015: Interview Date APPROVED :dancing:

May 19, 2015: Received Package

Oct. 22, 2015: Travelled to my new home :) (In order to get IR-1 Green Card) Expiration date on IR-1/CR-1 Visa - Oct. 29, 2015

Nov 10, 2015: Received Social Security Card

Jan 4, 2016: LPR Green Card arrived.

No one can say whats faster because the USCIS is always changing all you can do is file and hope for the best. Expect 6 to 12 months regardless.

Also with the changes at NVC there are no forms to sign after USVCIS its all online.

while there you can bring back:

  1. Birth certificate LOng form,
  2. 2 passport pics,
  3. biographical pages of passport,
  4. divorce decree (if applicable)
  5. Original or certified copy of marriage certoificate (while there get a certified copy so you don't have to send in original).

Than all you will have left to do later (after you are at NVC and have case# ) is have him get his Police report.

Some fill out a DS-230 because it has about same information as DS-260 (The new online Immigration Visa application) so you can have him do that just in case down the road bad network or whatever doesn't allow him to get in (you never know.) Good practce too.
